Outdoor wear is having a moment—and honestly, I’m into it.
Think: utility pants, cargos, “I could go hiking…but I’m actually just grabbing coffee” energy. Seeing this everywhere from Free People to Anthropologie.
Here’s how I’m wearing it:
• relaxed utility/cargo pants
• sporty hiking sneakers
• visible socks (ankle lengths are finally working in our favor)
• oversized button-down to keep it easy

These pants changed the whole outfit… but sizing is not what I expected.
Trying the barrel version of the Endless Pants from Athleta and I get the hype — the shape instantly makes workwear feel more current.
This is my version of spring workwear:
easy, polished, not stiff.
What I’m wearing:
• Barrel Endless Pants → relaxed fit, wider leg
• Structured plaid blazer → adds shape back in
• Boots from The Office of Angela Scott → subtle detail moment
Fit notes (important):
6’3” | 36” inseam | almost 40
Usually between a 6–8 (more 8 lately)
→ these run roomy in the waist + leg
→ wearing a 6 here
→ reordering a 4 to test the fit
Comfort check:
Wore these all day (meetings + sitting) and they held up — comfortable but still pulled together.
Takeaway:
If you’ve been curious about barrel pants for work… this is a good entry point. Just size down.

I was very confident these tees were going to be it… and they were not.
Spring outfit basics are supposed to be easy, right?
Here’s what actually happened with these Gap tees:
• Women’s cropped tee → aggressively cropped. not tall-friendly
• Men’s cropped tee → length = perfect, fit = too wide
• Ordered my usual medium → not the move this time
For reference:
6’3” | 36” inseam | almost 40
Usually a medium in men’s & women’s tops
What I am doing:
→ returning both
→ reordering the men’s in a small tall
→ sticking with their heavyweight cotton tees (still a win)
Takeaway:
The men’s section is quietly giving better crop lengths for tall women… just need to dial in the fit.
Tall girls—are we shopping men’s for basics now or what?

Just styled these new barrel Endless Pants from Athleta and I’m really into how the shape changes the whole feel of a work outfit.
This is my kind of business casual — easy, polished, but not stiff. The barrel leg gives a more relaxed silhouette, paired with a structured plaid blazer in warm neutrals + teal tones that feels very “spring workwear transition” even though it still layers like a coat. Finished it off with my The Office of Angela Scott boots for a little detail moment at the heel. Wore this for a full day of meetings and sitting and it held up perfectly — comfortable but still put together.

This is what I actually wear:

– straight leg cargos
– unisex energy
– comfort > everything
If it feels restrictive, I’m not interested.
This sweater? Not my usual (not a natural fiber),
but it was that good I bought it twice—
and grabbed this red one on clearance without hesitation.
Cuffed pants = mandatory

And yes… finding fun socks that actually fit a size 11 foot is a small win I’ll take every time.

I grabbed this from American Tall in my usual size (M Tall) and I have thoughts.

For reference:
6’3” | 36” inseam | almost 40 | typically M Tall in tops

Fit:
✔️ Shoulders + chest fit pretty true to size (rare win)
✔️ Length works (no surprise there)
✔️ Floaty, boho feel — very easy to style

But…
😬 It’s VERY sheer
😬 Noticing quite a few unfinished threads
😬 Questioning how this holds up after a few washes

Jellies… but make them grown.
I fully questioned myself grabbing these, not gonna lie. But the square toe + subtle Mary Jane style on these Dolce Vita flats pulled me in—and they did not disappoint.
A few notes if you’re considering:
• I’m a true 11 and these fit true to size (don’t size down like reviews suggest)
• There is a little space at the toe—more of an almond/square shape—but for summer? I actually prefer that
• The comfort surprised me… contoured footbed + padding = no break-in needed
Also… your feet will thank you for that extra room when it’s 85° and humid.
They’re already starting to sell out, so if you’ve been influenced… just go ahead and be influenced.

Tall girl spring… but make it realistic 🌷

Because let’s be honest—March isn’t giving full spring yet.

We’re in that in-between phase where it’s winter in the morning, spring by lunch, and randomly summer for an hour… so I’m slowly working spring colors into outfits without fully committing.

Today’s look is built around one of my favorite spring shifts: color + fabric.

I paired a brighter pink sweater (not quite pastel, a little bolder) that I actually grabbed from the men’s section—loving how spring is leaning into that mix of feminine color with more relaxed, unisex fits.

The pants are what sold me though—wide leg, ankle barrel style in a corduroy fabric with a burgundy + hot pink side stripe. Slight athletic feel but still put together, which is always the goal.

Finished it off with a patent Mary Jane—letting my feet breathe after months of boots, but we’re not fully committing to open-toe season yet.

If you’re tall, you already know… transitional dressing is a sport.
