Daily Tall Edit | Browns, Barrels & Holiday Bows My Daily Tall Diary: what’s on my body, what I bought, and what I’m eyeing next. 👗 What I Wore: I wore these GAP brown barrel jeans — these have a cross-waist button detail I wasn’t sure about at first, but I actually love it. They’re advertised as high-rise, but where the cross-button sits makes them feel more like a mid-rise… honestly the perfect in-between. I tried both the long and tall lengths. In today’s look, I’m wearing the long — they hit right at my ankle. The tall length reaches the floor, and because of that it reads more wide-leg than barrel. I didn’t mind either, but the fit is loose. I ordered my usual 28 and a 27, and they fit exactly the same — I even measured the waists and they were identical. GAP, I love you for the lengths but… make it make sense. Paired them with the Free People funnel-neck short-sleeve sweatshirt. Cropped, soft, gets better with each wash — I’ll be living in this. It was leaning a little casual for work, so I added brown suede square-toe Mary Janes from Cole Haan. The monochromatic brown-on-brown helps elevate it. If it’s still too casual for you, you could swap the sweatshirt for a button-down or sweater. 🛍️ What I Purchased: • Dearfoams embroidered-bow slippers — Not as soft as the Target pair I tried, but the bows are adorable and very “holiday.” • J.Crew bow-embroidered jeans — I ordered my usual size first and they were way too loose, so I sized down. The waist fits well now, but the length hits in a strange spot — not cropped, not full-length. If these hit at the ankle, they’d be perfect. I’m debating hemming them. TBD. 🛒 What’s in My Cart: • More winter gear now that December is coming. • A men’s fleece ski jacket from Target — total Free People vibes. They only had an XL in store; loved the oversized look but it was too sloppy. Might wait for a sale and grab a large. • Eddie Bauer winter coats — they fit tall frames and they’re warm.
