This is what happens when I build an outfit around one piece. I had no plan — just knew I wanted to wear this oversized reversible sherpa bomber. It has that slightly retro feel and I wanted to wear it open so the lining showed. Once I committed to that shape — oversized, relaxed, volume on top — everything else had to balance it. Next came the wide-leg plaid trousers. They’re long. They puddle. They’re dramatic. So now we have: – oversized jacket – very wide leg pants Which could easily go sloppy. That’s where the structure came in. I added: – a cropped cotton tee that hits right at the waistband (not shorter, not longer) – pointed toe Chelsea boots to visually narrow the leg line – a simple round belt to pull together the browns and warm tones The tee is slightly oversized, but because it’s cropped, it keeps the proportions clean. Every length hits exactly where it should — and at 6’3”, that’s not accidental. This felt comfortable, polished enough for work, but still easy. You could swap the bomber for a blazer and instantly elevate it. I’m 6’3”, wearing a medium on top and a 28 in trousers for reference. Would you wear this as-is, or would you change one thing?
