Obedience isn’t always what we expect it to be. Sometimes obedience looks like standing at the kitchen counter… finishing your Bible study late in the day with a cold cup of coffee while your child plays ABC Mouse in the background. It’s easy to imagine biblical motherhood as peaceful mornings, warm coffee, and uninterrupted quiet time. But for most of us? Faith-filled motherhood looks like reading one paragraph of Scripture at a time between snack requests. It looks like praying while unloading the dishwasher. It looks like choosing a gospel-centered home even when the house feels chaotic. For the Christian mama, obedience doesn’t always feel spiritual. Sometimes it feels ordinary. Sometimes it feels unseen. Sometimes it feels like showing up to your Bible study for moms with tired eyes and a messy bun. But every time you open your Bible instead of your phone… Every time you whisper a prayer over your children… Every time you choose patience when you want to snap… You are building a Christ-centered home. You are practicing biblical motherhood. You are becoming a Titus 2 woman in real time. Raising godly kids doesn’t start with perfection — it starts with a praying mom who keeps choosing faith over feelings. So if your coffee is cold today? If your devotion was interrupted 12 times? Don’t be fooled… you won’t hear me say reading your Bible isn’t important, because it certainly is. It’s how we fill our cups up so we can serve others. But don’t think for one second the other things you do for your kids and household don’t matter. God sees every piece of laundry you wash and fold, every dirty dish you clean, every meal you make, and every mental task you carry. You are doing God honoring work by taking care of the children, family, and husband He entrusted you with. My husband bought me this Bible for Christmas when I mentioned I wanted a study Bible with more context. What I was not expecting was for him to tell me to turn to the bookmark and see that he had highlighted these verses for me.🥹💕 Our marriage has been far from perfect but ever since we said, “I Do,” we have both imperfectly sought after God and I truly believe that’s why we are where we’re at today.
