Retinoids are the umbrella term for chemicals that derive from vitamin A and include retinol, retinal, retinaldehyde, retinyl palmitate and more.
They are known as the ‘gold standard’ of skincare and reduce inflammation, unclog pores, regulate the growth of skin cells on the skin’s surface and can make the skin look healthy and luminous. They can also help treat acne and pigmentation.
These are my favourites because I find them non irritating and highly effective.
I’ve also added some products containing bakuchoil which is not a retinoid but has similar properties and is very mild.
