Disney in May = almost 90 degrees, Florida humidity, and afternoon thunderstorms that show up whether the forecast says so or not. This is NOT a layering month — this is a moisture-wicking fabrics, cooling towels, and rain poncho month. Everything linked here is exactly what I'd pack for a family of four for a May Disney trip: breathable tops that don't hold sweat, biker shorts and athletic skirts that work for 15,000 steps, water shoes for the water rides you will absolutely be doing, and the cooling towel that is genuinely the most underrated Disney packing item I know. Pro tip that has nothing to do with clothing: you can bring your own food into Disney World. Pack a soft-sided cooler with lunches and frozen water bottles as ice packs. It will save you real money and keep the kids fueled all day.

Disney spring break is a full sport. You are walking 12+ miles a day, standing in line in Florida humidity, riding rides, doing character meets, watching parades, and somehow also trying to look like a person who has their life together. The outfit requirements are genuinely demanding.
After multiple Disney trips I have a formula: comfortable enough for 10 hours on your feet, put-together enough that you actually want to be in the photos, and structured enough that you're not fighting with it all day. Matching family sets are fully optional but undeniably fun and extremely popular on LTK if you want to go that route.

There is one spring break outfit combination I come back to on almost every trip and it has not let me down yet: barrel leg denim, sneakers, a relaxed linen or cotton top, and a crossbody that fits my phone, sunscreen, and nothing else.
It works for the museum morning, the downtown stroll, the spontaneous detour, the café stop, the bike rental. It photographs well against literally any backdrop. It's the outfit that requires zero thought and looks like you put in effort.
We did the Palm Springs Air Museum (genuinely one of the best things we did — such a sleeper hit) and rented bikes through downtown after. This outfit handled all of it.

Joshua Tree with kids is genuinely one of the best hiking days you can have — if you go in the right order. We did Hidden Valley first (the boulder scrambles are made for kids), then Skull Rock, Arch Rock, and ended at Cholla Cactus Garden on the drive back. My son was completely in his element.
The desert in March is peak hiking season — warm but not punishing. This is what I'd pack for the trail: functional enough for the rocks, cute enough for the Instagram-worthy Joshua Tree landscape that you will absolutely stop to photograph every five minutes. Tap to shop the full hiking edit. 🌵

Here's the spring packing problem nobody talks about: you check the forecast, it says 75°, and you leave the layers at home. Then you're in a gondola going up a mountain and it's actually snowing at the top.
That's exactly what happened on the Palm Springs Aerial Tramway — desert heat at the bottom, pine trees and snow at the top, in under ten minutes. Best experience of the trip. Completely unprepared outfit-wise on our first instinct.
This is the layering formula I'd use again for any spring trip where the weather could go either way: a Varley or Alo performance base, a Vuori hoodie that doesn't look like a gym hoodie, and a packable puffer that compresses into its own pocket and lives at the bottom of your bag until you need it. Sambas or a low trail shoe that works for both the walk and dinner after.

Christmas in Europe is such a magical season! You can't beat a European Christmas market for festive season! But packing during winter can feel so overwhelming (the bulk!). Luckily for you, I've perfected the art of the one-carry-on European vacation. And I frequently go to Europe for a month or more!

Pick a neutral to unify your wardrobe. I recommend chocolate brown or navy for winter - it looks softer in photos. And then pack separates that can layer well.

Be sure to prioritize being warm and dry over fashionable. And pack fabrics that can lie flat in a bathroom to dry if you need to do a quick wash.

Throw in a good pair of comfortable (and waterproof!) boots and you are all set.

If you are anything like me you both loathe and love business trips. It's great to have some alone time in a relatively nice if impersonal hotel room. But packing for a business trip can be an absolute pain. I'm almost always headed straight from the airport to the office or vice versa. Meaning I need to be comfortable, professional, and dressed for the arctic (really why are corporate offices so cold?!). A gray sweater with casual black pants is my go-to for professional comfortable that isn't awful on an airplane.

While most travelers dread long haul flights, I dread road trips. There is something about not being able to stand up and stretch that really gets to me. And inevitably I'm either too hot or too cold, or somehow both at once. That's why I always pack layers so I can take things off and on to control my own temperature. And a baseball cap to protect from those pesky UV rays coming in the windows. Pop in some airpods you can tune your children out and you are all set!
