I finally set up the Hogwarts Express around our tree this year and it’s honestly one of my favorite little projects so far. I’ve been slowly collecting the @department56 Harry Potter village pieces, and a lot of what you see here including the castle and several buildings came from Facebook Marketplace. The train did too. The rest are mostly from @macys who consistently have the best sales on the village near the holidays. This is an older “O-gauge” model of the @lionel_trains Hogwarts Express. The newer ones have sleeker control, Bluetooth, and the steam function on mine doesn’t work anymore, but I wanted something metal and heavy that looked beautiful going around the tree. So I hunted a used one down and made it work.
