My nightstands are currently on sale at Wayfair for the lowest price I’ve seen in a while! 🙌 I customized mine by swapping out the single center ring pull for two side ball knobs, and it made such a difference in the look. Here’s how I did it:

1️⃣ Filled the center hole with Kwikwood epoxy putty (apply from the back and gently smooth it as flush as possible to the front of the drawer face without getting any on the drawer face which would require sanding. Sanding would take the sheen off the drawer face so avoid this. Kwikwood doesn’t shrink like typical hardware fillers do this will help it stay flush.
2️⃣ Color the putty once it is hardened. You can use a black wood marker that I linked below (what my friend Mel @coryell.home did) did with great success) or leftover black paint—Sherwin Williams Tricorn Black in satin sheen—which is what I did. It may take more than 1 coat allowing it to dry between coats.
3️⃣ New holes were drilled 5 1/2” from the edge of the drawer and centered on the height of the drawer face

We’ve been assembling the kids’ class Christmas treats for their school Christmas Party this week. I found these hot chocolate stirrers at HomeGoods & that was the jumping off point for some cozy little hot cocoa goody bags. ☕🎄 We added some Christmas chocolates & a package of Nestle hot cocoa to the stirrers. The Christmas chocolates came from HomeGoods and the snowflake bags and ribbon from Hobby Lobby, but I’ll link some similar options below if you want to put together your own sweet treats. I’m loving this silk tie-front blouse from Quince! This year I tried my hand at DIYing some real garland around our front door using clippings I picked up from our local Christmas tree farm’s discard pile — and it worked so well! If DIY isn’t your thing, I’ll link the live garland I bought from Lowe’s and used last year, along with the rest of our front porch decor. The wreath is also a simple DIY and was such a fun way to bring in that classic, natural look. 🤍🌲

Walmart living room inspiration mood board ✨ If you’re wanting to create an elevated traditional space with soft touches of blue and timeless silhouettes, I pulled together this affordable look using pieces from Walmart.

This upholstered accent chair (the one from our Texas house!) has such a beautiful silhouette, and it pairs perfectly with the floral print rug, gold chandelier, round wood coffee table, ornate gold wall mirror, and botanical art prints. The small boxwood topiary adds that classic finishing touch

A look at our bedroom tree ✨ This is our second year with this Balsam Hill tree from Lowe’s and it truly is the easiest setup I’ve ever had. The lights connect through the center poles, so no extra cords to fuss with—and it requires zero fluffing!

Since our bedroom already leans into blue tones, I stayed within that palette and mixed in some of our fall florals in soft plum for depth. I added white and glass baubles along with a few clip-on candles for that cozy glow. It all feels calm, classic, and just a touch moody for winter. 💙🎄

This is my third year using these flameless Christmas tree clip candles from Amazon, and I still love the old-world, traditional charm they bring. For a cozy, intimate look I’ll turn off the tree lights and enjoy just the candle glow, or for full magic I keep both on. This year I added these dried oranges to our Christmas decorations. I’ve had a few attempts at DIYing this in the past and it has not been successful 🤪 so this year I decided to just order them, and they’ve added that beautiful old-world, nostalgic feel to our Christmas decor. Oranges have actually been tied to Christmas for centuries—originally symbolizing the gold St. Nicholas gave in the old legend—and later becoming a treasured winter treat during the Victorian era. That little bit of history makes them feel even more special tucked into garlands and trees. They come with some twine, but I used metal hooks to attach them to our garland and the twine for our tree. 🎄🍊
