My nightstands are currently on sale at Wayfair for the lowest price I’ve seen in a while! 🙌 I customized mine by swapping out the single center ring pull for two side ball knobs, and it made such a difference in the look. Here’s how I did it:

1️⃣ Filled the center hole with Kwikwood epoxy putty (apply from the back and gently smooth it as flush as possible to the front of the drawer face without getting any on the drawer face which would require sanding. Sanding would take the sheen off the drawer face so avoid this. Kwikwood doesn’t shrink like typical hardware fillers do this will help it stay flush.
2️⃣ Color the putty once it is hardened. You can use a black wood marker that I linked below (what my friend Mel @coryell.home did) did with great success) or leftover black paint—Sherwin Williams Tricorn Black in satin sheen—which is what I did. It may take more than 1 coat allowing it to dry between coats.
3️⃣ New holes were drilled 5 1/2” from the edge of the drawer and centered on the height of the drawer face

Winter at home 🤍
Warm layers, soft textures, and a cozy living room while it’s snowing outside. Shop the pieces that make this space feel comfortable and collected below.

A view of our children’s loft library comingupvour stairs. We built custom shelves to hold all the kids’ books, added vintage library steps from a yard sale for character, and brought in an adjustable chaise from @Wayfair for a soft, cozy reading spot & a neutral soft pile rug. It’s functional, but still warm and collected — exactly how I want our home to feel. I linked the sources I could below.

Designing a traditional living room doesn’t have to come with a high price tag. I pulled together this Walmart mood board to show how you can mix soft blue tones, classic silhouettes, and timeless accents on a budget.

The upholstered accent chair (from our Texas house!) brings such pretty structure to the space, paired with a floral rug, gold chandelier, round wood coffee table, ornate wall mirror, and botanical artwork. A simple boxwood topiary adds that charming, classic detail that completes the look.
This lookbook is filled with soft blues, warm neutrals, and timeless pieces for both home and everyday coastal classic style 🤍

Think blue and white home decor, woven baskets, soft blue and cream coordinating throw pillows, medium wood furniture, classic striped sofas, and elevated coastal accents — paired with an easy blue midi shirt dress, neutral flats, and a stylish tote for a relaxed spring outfit.

These Afloral cream blossom branches are on sale through today —use code SPRING at checkout. We’ve had ours for the past two years, and they’ve become one of those pieces I look forward to every spring. Such a simple statement, and I love that they can be used year after year as spring home decor

As we look ahead to spring, I’ve rounded up a few beautiful spring flower and vase combinations for easy spring home decor. These artificial flowers and stems are from Afloral, and they’re currently on sale through today—just use code SPRING at checkout. I’ve collected several Afloral stems over the years, and the quality is beautiful. I love that they can be reused season after season for simple, timeless styling.

I’ve gathered a collection of under-the-sink Amazon finds to help keep that kitchen cabinet organized and functional. This includes tiered storage drawers, acrylic stackable containers, trash bag and plastic bag dispensers, dish pod storage, cleaning caddies, and rubber mats to keep the bottom of your cabinet dry and easy to clean. Everything is linked below so you can create an under-sink setup that actually works for everyday life.

Shelf Decor from Amazon for a classic and collected style 🤍 I’ve curated some of my favorite Amazon shelf decor pieces that bring a timeless, layered look to bookshelves and tabletop styling. Think decorative boxes, stoneware, ceramics, sculptural objects, and framed art—those small finishing touches that add warmth, texture, and character and help a space feel thoughtfully put together without feeling overdone.

#LTKHome
Here are a few simple bookshelf styling tips I keep in mind when I’m refreshing our shelves. And if you’d like the full step-by-step guide, you can read it on my blog at rachellorrainehome.com

I usually start by layering a basket or two on the lowest shelf for hidden storage and visual weight. Then I place my larger pieces—like pottery or framed art—to anchor the space. If I use artwork on one shelf, I try to stagger another piece diagonally so they aren’t stacked directly on top of each other.

I also pay attention to shape. If there are lots of rectangular objects like books or frames, I’ll add in something rounded—pottery, a bowl, or a sculptural object—to bring balance.

I like to think in groupings, where a few pieces live together instead of being spread individually across a shelf. Think:
– a vertical stack of books with a bookend
– art with something layered in front of it
– a pair or trio of pottery in different heights

And finally, I love mixing old and new. A few antique books or vintage finds alongside pieces from Wayfair or Target add character and a sense of story.

This set of 4 copper canisters from Wayfair is an easy way to store flour and other dry goods — and they’re pretty enough to sit out as kitchen counter decor.

Form + function. 🤎
I love this block-print floral bedding from Target that we have in my daughter’s room. It’s feminine without feeling juvenile, and elevated enough that it will grow with her beautifully over the years.

It’s from the Studio McGee x Threshold collection, and it’s currently back in stock. The soft pattern, warm neutrals, and classic feel make it one of those pieces that feels special but still very livable—perfect for a little girl’s room that doesn’t have to be “redone” every few years.

#LTKKids #LTKHome
These Target home finds have that designer feel, but without the sticker shock. A few of my favorites right now: the box-pleated swivel glider, the floral block-print bedding, my go-to chunky knit blanket, copper-plated cookware, and a simple stoneware crock that looks beautiful right out on the counter.

They’re the kind of pieces that quietly elevate a space.

#LTKValentine #LTKHome
It may be snowy outside, but this is the scene in my mind. I created this little garden-oasis mockup using some of my favorite outdoor pieces from Wayfair—timeless an elegant.

The metal outdoor sofa feels classic, the wooden trellis adds that charming garden structure, and those scalloped ceramic planters paired with lanterns bring in so much character.

I’ve linked everything below if you’re dreaming of spring right along with me.

Paint and the right window treatments can completely transform a room—especially custom curtains that add softness, height, and a polished designer look. These are the Isabella cotton curtains in the color Winter Sky with a triple pleat header, privacy lining, and memory training for that tailored drape. I paired them with natural bamboo woven shades for a layered, classic-meets-cozy look.

If you’re looking for ideas on custom curtains, pleated curtain styles, or choosing the right window treatments for your home, hopefully this will serve as some inspo It’s a simple update that brings instant warmth, texture, and character to any space.

Target has some really lovely Valentine’s home accents right now—simple, pretty pieces that feel festive without being over the top. I loved the marble heart trinket dishes and cheeseboards, the silver box frames, and the classic taper holders. There’s also sweet garland, heart-detail glasses and stemware, soft dishtowels, and candles with a subtle heart texture.

The heart stoneware would be especially nice for a Valentine’s dinner or a little Galentine’s gathering. These are the kind of small touches that make everyday spaces feel thoughtful and seasonal without having to redo everything.

#LTKHome #LTKValentine
I saw these peony stems at Target and thought they were such a pretty nod to spring. The soft pink is gentle and fresh, and the petals have that velvety, real-touch feel that makes them look more real than most faux flowers. An easy little way to brighten a room while we’re still waiting on the real blooms outside.

If you like the Joseph Joseph divided laundry hamper I shared last week, I found a similar one for under $40 at Wayfair. I’ll link both below. I love being able to separate lights from darks so I can grab what I need come laundry day.

#LTKSaleAlert #LTKHome
This My Texas House upholstered chair is one of the most cost-effective dining chairs I’ve found—and I’ve bought three of them. We use two in our dining room and one at my desk.

They have large rollers that glide easily over my jute rug, and the slipcover is fully removable if it ever needs a wash. It’s such a great “look for less” option compared to the higher-end designer versions, and it’s held up beautifully in real life.

#LTKHome
I’ve wanted a wooden console table on the large wall beneath our stairs for years. I loved the look of the high-end designer versions like the Henn Console & Colter console table, but they were usually $1,000+ and too deep, cutting into the entry path. I was so excited to find this one and the same style, 63” long, and with a much slimmer depth. It fits the space perfectly! Now I’m excited to move toward styling it ☺️✨

A quick note: this isn’t solid wood, so if that’s a deal-breaker, just know that going in. That said, it arrived in great shape, and the wood veneer is a near match to our white oak floors. It works beautifully for our home and our needs.💕

Winter to Spring Pillow Combos for a Cozy Refresh 🤍

These winter-to-spring pillow combinations from Wayfair blend calm neutrals with soft textures, subtle florals, and gentle ruffles that hint at the coming season. It’s such an easy way to refresh your couch or bed with new pillow covers and decorative accent pillows—no full makeover required.

I’ve linked the exact covers and a few similar options below so you can mix and match what works best in your space.

These cordless lamps are wonderful to have on hand for when the power goes out during a winter storm. We have several in our home and I love that it’s a safer alternative to candles for power outages. They also create the coziest atmosphere year-round.

#LTKHome
If you’re in the same boat as we are and preparing for a potential winter ice storm these propane indoor/outdoor space heaters are great alternative if the power goes out. You can order online and pick up at your local Home Depot to have it in time for this weekend! Don’t forget to grab the bottles of propane as well

Living Room Shelf Styling ✨When styling our shelves, I love to mix elements that balance one another—something woven or textured paired with ceramics or smooth, shiny metals. That contrast is what keeps a shelf from feeling flat.

I also love thrifting books with beautiful colored spines to stack and layer. They add warmth, character, and that collected-over-time feel I’m always after.

I’ll link several of the pieces I used below (or similar options if an item was thrifted or discontinued).

Amazon Bathroom Organization Favorites 🛁

These are several organizers we use that help our primary bathroom flow a bit better—from acrylic drawer dividers and under-cabinet solutions to decorative countertop storage for everyday essentials in our apothecary jars and acrylic shelves that free up counter space.

Our sorting laundry hamper was a recent add, and it’s made such a difference. Being able to separate lights from darks means I can grab exactly what I need on laundry day. And these storage boxes with handles are perfect in our linen closet for extra bedding and toilet paper—practical and still pretty.

This reactive glaze stoneware vase is currently on limited time deal at Amazon! It has a beautiful silhouette that can stand alone as shelf or table decor, but it also looks beautiful paired with seasonal flowers.

Modern classic living room 🤍 Last week I refreshed the coffee table and shelf styling. I love how this room is off the kitchen and serves as the heart of our home

#LTKHome
This beautiful 2 drawer wood nightstand from Target’s Threshold with Studio McGee collection is on sale $46 off! I love the open shelf underneath for a styling opportunity and the wood tone and classic style are a winning combination.

#LTKHome #LTKSaleAlert
Even though it’s winter, I’m already bringing in a little spring with flowers and stems around the house. I do have a few winter-blooming live bulbs, but faux florals are what I rely on year-round.

I keep a mix of higher and lower price point stems on hand, and honestly—they all work beautifully. It’s such an easy way to add life and softness to a space, even in the middle of January.

I’m linking the ones I use and love below. 🌿

#LTKSeasonal #LTKHome
I love my McGee & Co. decorative wicker boxes for shelf decor, but they can be a bit of a splurge when they’re not on sale. Amazon has a great look for less that is currently in stock! I’ll link both below for you

#LTKHome
The prettiest washable rug runner from Joon Loloi 🤍 We’re almost at the one-year mark with this Morey rug and it’s so beautiful. The vintage pattern and muted colors bring so much character and warmth to our kitchen.

It’s soft underfoot and washable—which is a win in a high-traffic space. I’ve washed it and it came out great (I air-dried just to be safe). It’s on the thinner side, so I recommend adding a rug pad if you want extra cushion.

#LTKHome #LTKFindsUnder100
Living room views this winter 🤍 I refreshed our bookshelves and coffee table this week and leaned into more blues and soft neutrals for winter. I swapped the deep burgundy florals and book covers for lighter tones, and changed out a few pillow covers to brighten things up. Just a handful of simple swaps, but it made the whole room feel fresh again.

#LTKHome
The kids asked for a “tea party” and to play a game after we caught up on some cleaning. They chose “Do You Really Know Your Family” which is such a great family game. We play it a lot at dinner time. You can sit and it asks trivia questions about the family members and there are some challenge cards as well. The kids love it and it is a game I enjoy as well.

#LTKdayinmylife #LTKKids #LTKmomlife
Pottery Barn style look for less. I think we’re often led to believe that if we can’t spend a ton, we won’t get quality—but that’s not always true. I do save and splurge on a few things, but the majority of our home is built with affordable style. And I love sharing that with you in case you’re looking for the same.

My outdoor Loloi Malibu rug is back in stock at Wayfair in the 3’9” x 5’9” size I used here! It looks so pretty layered under a door mat and the neutral colors and pattern have worked well through each season.
