STEP BY STEP DETAILS BELOW- how we created our plaster range hood 🤍 •used 1/4 birch plywood for the box (kerf cut the sides to achieve a curved shape) •primed the plywood with PVA Drywall Primer (let dry 24 hrs) •once dry, painted one coat of @ Meoded Quartz Plaster Primer (let dry 24 hrs) •mixed Meoded Concretta FS Plaster powder with water (non-tinted) •used a metal hand trowel to layer the 1st coat of plaster (applied in smaller layers for a slightly uneven finish) •once it started to harden, took a damp sponge to slightly smooth any rougher areas (let dry 24hrs) •for the 2nd coat of plaster, mixed Meoded Concretta tint in the color “Calm White” into the Concretta powder with water (keep it a thicker consistency) •used a rubber hand trowel to spread the mixture with a softer look (left some uneven texture for added depth) •once it started to harden, took a slightly damp sponge to push the plaster flat on the edges **hood insert SKS Appliances LTKstorytime
