It was a great day at church this morning with the family.

We were feeling a little festive, but not over the top. I was actually feeling quite nostalgic… Missing my momma, so I decided to wear her set of beautiful Sapphire & Diamond necklace, bracelet, earrings & ring. Keeping her close keeps me calm on special days!

This has been the year of picks & sticks! I’ve bought and used more this holiday season than in the last few years.

They are great for layering and filing. Perfect to add height and extension. Finding the right type can be a struggle. Correct size, texture, color (which you better know your golds, the shades vary greatly…), and structure means everything.

Knowing that you can cut, splice, add stems with wire & tape can make them even more custom. You’ll probably need a glue gun, too!

How do you make decorating fun? This year mine was in my pj’s with a dash of glitter & side of mimosa’s! The Old Navy pj’s are my go to all year, but I use them under tee’s & flannel, too!

How did y’all do Thanksgiving? Our’s was with family and close friends and LOTS of food! This is truly what the holiday’s mean to me. Taking time to spend a great meal, good times and laughter with the ones I love. 🦃🧡🤎💛🦃

Casseroles are always a favorite! Sweet potato, hash brown & pineapple - these will always be on the kids list. Turkey, ham, dressing, homemade cranberry sauce, rolls & coleslaw, too!

Now, onto the desserts: Homemade pecan, pumpkin & apple pie. Vanilla ice cream or whip cream… maybe both?

What was your day like? Which of the above would pick to pile on your plate?

We definitely ate enough to wobble, with all of the gobbling we did. Looks like I will need extra workouts and fasting to reset from all the deliciousness.

If you do NOT like the “jelly” out of a can cranberry sauce, then this post might just be for you!

1 bag fresh Cranberries (approx 2 c)
1 c of Water
1/2 c Honey
1/2 c Monk Fruit Sugar
1/2 Orange Zest
1/8 tsp Cinnamon (optional)

Bring to a boil. Boil 2-3 minutes continually stirring. Reduce heat to simmer for 7 minutes. Use a potato masher or blend depending on texture you want. Let cool, the refrigerate. Keeps 1-2 weeks I f fridge.

This is the perpetual “family” tree. It’s the only one the husband does y’all. Usually all by himself!

It is our collectible tree. All the ornaments from over 29 years of marriage. We started each of the kids with a new one every year until they graduated. We still have the sons. Our daughter took all of her Barbie ones when she moved out. But we still add a couple every year.
