My most worn travel shoe! Even if it’s not a beach vacation don’t you always have to take a flip flop or something to shuffle to the hot tub at night? I love my waterproof Birkenstocks from Free People. It doubles as a cute sandal you can actually walk in. I’ve had these for 2 years and they look the same as when I bought them. Here I’m wearing them in Ely Cathedral where I sang 2 summers ago.

This is my Day of the Dead inspired mantle. 💀 My top tip for holiday decor is this- don’t let it look like a Spirit Halloween set up shop in your house.
💀Use natural elements and decor you already have to add seasonal touches.
💀Work within your existing style and color palette.
💀Have fun with it but don’t fill your entire garage with holiday decorations or spend too much!

Do not, I repeat DO NOT put a swing set or play set in your backyard. It’s an established fact that whatever you have at your house your kids will not want to play with. A better option- hang this swing from a porch or tree for less than $50 on Amazon. Buy 2! My tweens still use it.

I had broken up with jeans the past couple of years. I’m 45 years old and I do have a mom pooch some days and I struggled to find denim that I felt was flattering and comfortable with the current trends. I bought these boot cut jeans at Nordstrom Rack recently and they have the perfect stretch 👌 I paired it with adidas sneakers and my favorite Quince crossbody ✌️

Mom uniform. Do you like denim
on denim? Makes me feel like a cowboy sometimes 😆 (not a bad thing necessarily) but to break it up I’ll wear two different washes for the top and bottom. My whole aesthetic is about trying to be cute without being too high maintenance or uncomfortable- not always an easy task! Happy Friday everyone. ✌️

One of my favorite things in my kitchen is this little Bluetooth speaker. It looks like a guitar amp and it sounds pretty good! I use it to put in music when I’m cooking or for weekend dinners when we are all sitting down together.

Before we hung Julie’s gallery wall we spaced it out on the floor trying different combinations and placements. The prints are from Etsy and the gold frames are from Amazon. We did some repeated colors to tie it together.

Our home away from home is Joshua Tree National Park! We have an Airbnb in Twentynine Palms 15 minutes from the north entrance. I have all the furniture and decor items tagged that I purchased for the house so when guests ask I can send them a link.

Julie wanted a gallery wall. Gallery walls are not always the easiest things to pull off but we ordered these prints on Etsy and they make a statement over her green velvet couch. We made this work by doing all gold frames and by repeating a common color palette throughout the prints. Some prints have more negative space and that helps a gallery wall not be too overwhelming. No more boring seating area.
