Starting our solids journey one veggie at a time 🥦✨

We decided to start with vegetables first so baby boy can develop a taste for whole foods early. This week’s star: broccoli! I’m making all of his purées from scratch and adding a little ghee for extra nourishment.

Why ghee?
• Rich in healthy fats that support brain development
• Contains vitamins A, D, E & K
• Gentle on tiny tummies and easier to digest than regular butter
• Helps baby absorb nutrients from vegetables better

Mom hack: I’m reusing our old Philips Avent bottles with these lids that turn them into perfect baby food storage jars. Nothing goes to waste and it keeps everything organized.

Pumping at work isn’t always glamorous, but it is possible — and protected.

✨ Tips for Pumping at Work:
• Block your pumping times on your calendar like a meeting (because it is one).
• Communicate your schedule with your secretary/admin team.
• Keep a pumping caddy in your office (extra pump parts, wipes, storage bags).
• Use a hands-free pump so you can answer emails if needed.
• Store milk in a designated cooler bag with ice packs.
• Don’t skip your sessions — consistency protects your supply.

📍 Florida Pumping Laws:
Under federal law (PUMP Act) and Florida protections, employers must provide:
• Reasonable break time to express milk for 1 year after birth
• A private space that is NOT a bathroom
• Protection from retaliation for pumping

Mama, you are allowed to take up space AND take pumping breaks. Period.
