#GarnierGiftedMe Super easy updo! I do this all the time! Just gather your hair like a ponytail, twist it, tuck it in- like a croissant and secure with hair pins. Add a fun hair clip if you like and put some hairspray on for extra hold! I used The Garnier Sleek & Shine Hairspray for ultra strong hold and frizz protection! I am on Tretinoin for almost 2 years. I do see a huge improvement in my skin texture and wrinkles, however it didn’t help with the perimenopause acne that I am experiencing- especially on my chin! Deep, inflamed painful cysts! Unfortunately I am also a picker and can’t keep my fingers off of them…grrr…

I am also currently using an Estriol cream that also does not seem to help with my acne (started in September) and I am back on birth control (mainly to combat the sudden excruciating pain that I experienced during my period- I can tell you: it is HELPING!!!).

ACNE can really hurt your confidence. Thank god for makeup.

A lot of people in the U.S. seem to categorize clothes into 2 categories: 1. casual or 2. special occasions. Everyday I get comments like this: "You can’t wear this to go to Walmart.””That’s not a casual outfit.” “You can’t wear this to run errands.” Europeans are on the other hand confused, because for them it’s a completely normal outfit. It’s not that I wear a ballgown at Walmart! 😆

I really don’t understand why I should walk around in loungewear to run errands?

I wear real clothes if I go outside! It makes me feel good and I enjoy it! It really does not take that much effort for me. I always have a couple of outfit combinations ready, hanging in my closet- so I just grab those! Easy peasy!

Life is too short to save your clothes for special occasions. You spent the money on these clothes, so wear them, before it’s too late! I bet it will make you feel good too! You might even do better choices at the grocery store and don’t buy that bag of potato chips. 🤭

‼️Warning: you’ll get compliments from strangers if you dress nice!

So many of you always ask me: “But what do you wear as a casual outfit- like for everyday?” And that made me realize: “casual” can look so different in different countries! For me a casual outfit is one that I am comfortable in - which means mainly flats- but it does not have to be always sneakers. Ballet flats, loafers, flat boots are other comfortable choices. I find jeans casual and even a dress if paired with sandals! Personally I always dress up somewhat if I leave my home- even if I just go grocery shopping! That is just what I have always done growing up in Germany and I still do to this day! OF COURSE YOU CAN WEAR WHATEVER YOU WANT!!! Just trying to show that casual has a different meaning around the world. No shame, this is just made for entertainment. ;-)

Just a little reminder that a lot of what we see on social media isn’t real. I can totally understand why creators choose to use filters though! Every time I show my bare face without any makeup, people are recommending to me all kind of cosmetic procedures such as an upper bleph or a facelift and they tell me how ugly I am. You have to have thick skin to show yourself without a filter on social media these days, but I still wish more creators would do that, so that people don’t aspire to unachievable goals that aren’t real! Remember that: skin texture, pores, wrinkles- all that is normal stuff. We all have it!!!
