Dry brush depth and color onto your pumpkin with acrylic paint, and after that dries, apply a thin layer of wood stain to the pumpkin and wipe off the access. This gives the pumpkin dimension and makes it look more realistic, versus a flat bright orange. After it dries, use a small drill bit to drill a hole horizontally through the stem of the pumpkin, and then feed your clear craft line through it for hanging.
