It’s GAME DAY in Kansas City, so of course the front porch needed a Chiefs makeover! 🏈

In honor of the Chiefs’ first game tonight, we traded our traditional seasonal decor for red, white and a whole lot of KC spirit!

We started with **three ball topiaries** and added red faux mums for a pop of Chiefs red. Then we layered in football-themed red and white tassels to bring a little game-day fun to the planters.

For the front door, we added a **custom Kansas City Chiefs wreath from Etsy**, then layered a red and white buffalo check outdoor rug with a football doormat.

How to decorate an asymmetrical front porch for fall 🍂

If your front porch isn’t perfectly symmetrical, don’t fight it! An asymmetrical porch is the perfect opportunity to create a layered, collected fall look.

We started with one tall topiary to add height and anchor one side of the front door. Then we layered an outdoor rug with a fall doormat to make the entryway feel warm and welcoming.

Next, we made the front door the focal point with a fall wreath and decorative wreath sash. Around the base, we layered pumpkins and mums in different sizes to add seasonal color and texture.

To finish the look, we added outdoor lanterns with outdoor-safe faux candles for a cozy glow without taking up too much space.

The secret to asymmetrical front porch decorating is BALANCE—not matching! Use different heights, sizes and layers to make each side feel visually balanced without making them identical.

When your front porch is long but doesn’t have a lot of depth, you don’t need MORE decor—you just need to place it where it makes the biggest impact!

We kept this fall porch simple:

1. We added tall topiaries on each side of the front door to give the porch height and create symmetry.

2. We made the front door the focal point with a large fall wreath and decorative wreath sash.

3. We layered pumpkins around the topiaries to bring in those classic autumn colors without taking up too much walking space.

4. We added garden lights along the sidewalks leading to the porch. At night, they light the pathway and help all of the seasonal front porch decor stand out!
