If you’re a Kansas City Chiefs fan, THIS is how you decorate your front porch for football season! 🏈

We gave this front porch a full **KC Chiefs game day makeover** just in time for the first game tonight!

We added three ball topiaries with red faux mums, football-themed red and white tassels, and a custom KC Chiefs wreath from Etsy.

Then we layered a red and white buffalo check outdoor rug with a football doormat to bring even more Chiefs colors to the front door.

But our FAVORITE part might be the porch goose. 😂❤️💛

We can dress her as a **KC Chiefs cheerleader** OR turn her into a **football player with a helmet**.

Now we need you to settle the debate:

It’s GAME DAY in Kansas City, so of course the front porch needed a Chiefs makeover! 🏈

In honor of the Chiefs’ first game tonight, we traded our traditional seasonal decor for red, white and a whole lot of KC spirit!

We started with **three ball topiaries** and added red faux mums for a pop of Chiefs red. Then we layered in football-themed red and white tassels to bring a little game-day fun to the planters.

For the front door, we added a **custom Kansas City Chiefs wreath from Etsy**, then layered a red and white buffalo check outdoor rug with a football doormat.

And we couldn’t forget the porch goose! 😂🏈 We have TWO game-day looks: a **KC Chiefs cheerleader** or a **football player complete with his helmet**.

Now we need your vote…

**Which goose would YOU put on your Chiefs front porch—the cheerleader or the football player?**

How to decorate an asymmetrical front porch for fall 🍂

If your front porch isn’t perfectly symmetrical, don’t fight it! An asymmetrical porch is the perfect opportunity to create a layered, collected fall look.

We started with one tall topiary to add height and anchor one side of the front door. Then we layered an outdoor rug with a fall doormat to make the entryway feel warm and welcoming.

Next, we made the front door the focal point with a fall wreath and decorative wreath sash. Around the base, we layered pumpkins and mums in different sizes to add seasonal color and texture.

To finish the look, we added outdoor lanterns with outdoor-safe faux candles for a cozy glow without taking up too much space.

The secret to asymmetrical front porch decorating is BALANCE—not matching! Use different heights, sizes and layers to make each side feel visually balanced without making them identical.

How to decorate a long, shallow front porch for fall 🍂

When your front porch is long but doesn’t have a lot of depth, you don’t need MORE decor—you just need to place it where it makes the biggest impact!

We kept this fall porch simple:

1. We added tall topiaries on each side of the front door to give the porch height and create symmetry.

2. We made the front door the focal point with a large fall wreath and decorative wreath sash.

3. We layered pumpkins around the topiaries to bring in those classic autumn colors without taking up too much walking space.

4. We added garden lights along the sidewalks leading to the porch. At night, they light the pathway and help all of the seasonal front porch decor stand out!

If you have a long, narrow or shallow front porch, focus your fall decorations around the doorway and use height instead of filling every inch of the porch.

How to decorate a wide front porch for fall 🍂

A larger porch can feel overwhelming to decorate, so we like to start with the biggest pieces and layer in the fall details!

1. Start with a neutral outdoor rug, then add two tall planters beside the front door and two smaller planters near the steps to help fill the space.

2. Add mums to each planter for beautiful fall color.

3. Layer in a fall doormat, colorful fall floral wreath and a wreath sash to make the front door the focal point.

4. Finish with pumpkins and a scarecrow-themed porch goose for a fun, welcoming touch.

The key to decorating a wide front porch is using different heights and repeating decor throughout the space so everything feels full, balanced and intentional.

Think your front porch is too narrow to decorate for fall? It’s not! We gave this small front porch a cozy fall makeover using a few simple Amazon finds—and you don’t need a ton of space to make a big impact.

Here’s how we decorated it:

1. 🍁 **Start at the door.** We added a fall wreath and sash to bring in color and make the front door the focal point.

2. 🎃 **Layer your rugs.** We started with a wider black and orange rug and layered a “Hello Pumpkin” doormat on top. This is one of our favorite tricks for making a small porch feel more finished.

3. 🍂 **Fill in with fall details.** We added pumpkins and a garden flag around the doorway without overcrowding the walkway.

4. 🖤 **Don’t forget the door color!** We painted this front door **Tricorn Black by Sherwin-Williams**, and we love how the black makes all of those warm fall colors pop.

You don’t need a huge front porch to make your entryway feel warm, welcoming, and ready for fall. A few intentional layers can completely transform a narrow space!

DON’T put away your summer clothes just yet… 👀🍂

The secret to transitioning your wardrobe into fall isn’t buying all new clothes—it’s knowing which pieces can work from season to season.

Today’s OOTD is a bright yellow top from Kohl’s paired with a denim mini skirt. A jean mini skirt is one of those wardrobe staples you can wear now and well into fall. Just swap your sandals for boots and add a cardigan or jacket when the temperatures cool down!

Are you ready for fall clothes, or are you holding onto summer a little longer?

OOTD 🤎 A chocolate brown dress is one of my favorite pieces for transitioning from summer to fall!

This one is so darling and easy to style. I added a black Old Navy cardigan that you can wear when it’s cooler in the morning, then throw over your shoulders when it warms up in the afternoon.

And of course… everybody needs a pair of cheetah print shoes. 🐆 These are from Maurices and add the cutest little pop to the outfit!

But the finishing touch? My Merle Norman lip combo—the lipstick duo, lip pencil, and lip liner pull the whole look together.

Which piece is your favorite—the dress, cardigan, shoes, or lip combo?

Have an asymmetrical front porch and aren’t sure how to decorate it for fall? Here’s the secret: your porch does NOT have to be perfectly symmetrical to look beautifully styled.

Instead of trying to make both sides match, focus on creating visual balance with different heights, textures, and groupings.

Here’s our easy formula for decorating an asymmetrical front porch for fall:

1. Start with a front door wreath to create your focal point and establish your fall color palette.

2. Layer your rugs with a larger outdoor rug underneath your doormat. This instantly makes your front entrance feel warmer and more finished.

3. Add a topiary to one side to bring in height, greenery, and structure.

4. Stack lanterns in different sizes and add outdoor candles for that cozy, welcoming fall glow.

5. Finish with pumpkins! Mix different sizes, shapes, and colors around your topiary and lanterns so they feel naturally layered instead of perfectly placed.

Remember: BALANCE, not symmetry. 🍁

And now we want to help YOU!

Have a porch you’re struggling to decorate? Send us a photo of your front porch! Covered, uncovered, asymmetrical, apartment stoop, small entryway, big porch—we want to see them ALL.

One of my favorite things about mornings at home is that they’re usually made up of the simplest little routines—opening the shades and letting the morning light in, making my coffee, feeding the kitties, taking Poppy for a walk, and coming back inside to make cinnamon rolls and biscuits & gravy.

And I’m curious… what do YOUR mornings typically look like? Are you a slow coffee-and-breakfast person, or are you up and out the door? Tell me below! 👇

One of my favorite recent additions to our kitchen has been these custom woven bamboo shades from LuxDrape. They add so much warmth and natural texture to the room while still being incredibly functional.

The biggest mistake we see with faux garland? It looks like it’s just sitting on top of the mantel instead of naturally growing and flowing through your space.

The secret is simple: anchor your garland in multiple places instead of letting it drape on its own. We use floral wire, command hooks, and greenery ties to secure it in sections, then fluff and layer each branch so it looks full, organic, and like it naturally belongs there.

It’s one of those small decorating tricks that instantly makes your mantel decor, holiday decorating, or everyday greenery look more high-end and professionally styled.

If you want your home to feel more luxurious, it’s often the small details that make the biggest difference.

1. Pinch pleat drapery hung high and wide instantly makes ceilings look taller and windows feel grander.
2. Custom pillows with beautiful piping add texture, dimension, and that designer-finished look you see in luxury homes.
3. Duvet covers with quality inserts create that full, fluffy, hotel-style bed that completely transforms your bedroom.

These are the details interior designers use to create homes that feel custom, timeless, and expensive—without remodeling.

As interior designers, there are three mistakes you’ll almost never catch us making:

✨ 1. Using a rug that’s too small.
A properly sized area rug anchors the room, makes your furniture feel connected, and instantly elevates the space.

💡 2. Relying only on overhead lighting.
Layer your lighting with table lamps, floor lamps, sconces, and accent lighting to create a warm, inviting home that feels cozy instead of flat.

🛋️ 3. Pushing all of your furniture against the walls.
Pulling furniture in—even just a few inches—creates better conversation areas and makes your room feel thoughtfully designed.

These simple interior design tips can completely transform your home without a full renovation.
