How did we live without this for over a year?!?

Our loft has been completely transformed by this. Not just in looks, but functionality and use. You can always find at least one of the kids up here coloring, reading, or just hanging out with a book.

If you have a space you’ve been putting off making more functional for your family, just go for it! It doesn’t need to be an over the top make-over. An easy win can make a world of difference.

Now to start planning the other half of the room. What’s something you definitely would want in a video game room?

Making this the year of passing on traditions.

There’s something so special about continuing on what’s already been loved. Teaching your kids your famiyl’s go-to game. Perfecting grandma’s cookie recipe. Letting familiar things find new hands.

My hope is that when life feels heavy this year, these simple rituals help connect us, recenter us, and help us remember the important things are often the quiet, ordinary moments.

Researched this heat press like crazy. With so many young kids in the house we wanted one that was safe for both her and for younger curious kids.

The heating element is nice and tucked away and I like the sliding drawer to keep you from needing to put your hands under the machine.

January isn’t the time for a personality overhaul, it’s the time to start planning a year you’ll enjoy living!
