Bar tribute to my best friend and the best bar owner of 1971, my dad. I wanted to give the antique bottles my dad saved from his original bar in the 60’s a proper home, so I made this eclectic bar. The mirror tiles and gold pipe shelves say party on top and tuxedo on the bottom. I had half inch glass shelves made to support all of the items on display. This project challenged my skills in a couple areas; first the spray paint wasn’t adhering well to the pipe and then the mirror tiles are so sticky that it made placement on the wall very difficult to maneuver because of the small mirrors inset within the mosaic that are very fragile. All in all, I am happy with the look and can think of a ton of ways to replicate this process just by using different tiles, wood shelves, or another sideboard.
