I’m in my 50s now, and here’s something wild: I look better than I did in my 30s and 40s.

For years I didn’t even realize how much I’d let myself fade into the background. Skipping the mirror instead of looking in it. Putting everyone else’s needs before my own, every single day.

Turning it around wasn’t one big overhaul. It was small, daily acts of choosing myself — the right fit over the “safe” size, sun rays instead of something to erase, showing up as me instead of hiding.

Your 50s aren’t a decline. They’re a return to yourself. Here are some of the things that helped me!

We’re really impressed with this lash serum from The Ordinary! ✨ It’s lightweight, affordable, and so easy to work into our everyday beauty routine. If you’ve been wanting to add a lash serum without the splurge, this is such a good beauty find to try!

Head straight to the big boys’ section for this one! 👀 We bought an XL boys’ Polo shirt, and it fits like a women’s large/10–12. The boys’ large fits more like a women’s medium—and the best part? They’re about 1/3 of the price!

We actually prefer the boys’ fit, especially if you have broader shoulders like we do. Tegan’s $168 women’s version felt a little snug through the shoulders, while the boys’ XL gave us a much better fit. Consider this your shopping hack of the day! 🙌 Try it and let us know what you think!

This soft cashmere cardigan is quickly becoming a favorite in my closet. I love how easily it pairs with jeans, dresses, skirts, or trousers for so many different looks. Such a beautiful layering piece to have on hand for fall and everyday wear.

#LTKSeasonal #LTKOver40 #LTKMidsize

Plot twist: maroon is the new neutral. 🍂 This fall, swap the basic black or brown for a rich burgundy shoe — it pairs with everything from denim to your favorite camel coat, but adds just enough warmth and personality to make an outfit feel intentional. Neutral doesn't have to mean boring.

May I highly recommend these comfortable $34 ones as a pair to try! And these are super affordable, but I’ve linked all budgets and types for you! s
