I’m in my 50s now, and here’s something wild: I look better than I did in my 30s and 40s.

For years I didn’t even realize how much I’d let myself fade into the background. Skipping the mirror instead of looking in it. Putting everyone else’s needs before my own, every single day.

Turning it around wasn’t one big overhaul. It was small, daily acts of choosing myself — the right fit over the “safe” size, sun rays instead of something to erase, showing up as me instead of hiding.

We never thought we'd get to say this. As twin sisters and breast cancer survivors, we walked through some of the hardest days of our lives side by side. The fear was real. The waiting was real. The strength it took to keep going was real.

This J.Crew Cardigan is one that Tegan and I wear at least a few days a week. On days we are together we actually have to call each other to make sure both of us aren’t wearing it.
