Dreamy kids bedroom with personality!

When your kids are this small, their rooms are for you. It’s like first birthdays. We have to have some fun after the sleepless nights.

I wanted this room to reflect our son’s personality, it had an outdoor feel, with warm tones, reflective of his outdoorsy personality, vintage cars because he loved everything with motors and used hardballs and golf balls because of his love of sports. The final touch was a dog print wallpaper.

Kids spaces can be fun and fancy at the same time. And I hope someone comes at me for the lack of toys in their room 😂 cause it’s much easier to clean these and keep the mess in our living room which they do well.

Today is the start of National Infertility Awareness week. So many women and men suffer in silence when it comes to infertility, especially with the societal pressures to have kids, especially after marriage. Without access to fertility treatments, we never would have had Dylan. It’s not as easy as “relaxing” or “going on vacation”, or “just keep trying” there are medical reasons why 1 in 6 couples in Canada experience infertility, and 1 in 4 experience miscarriage. (Look at it this way, relaxing won’t cure cancer, or diabetes, or a brain tumour, it also won’t cure infertility.

I have recently started a site for women who have had success with fertility treatments (www.infertilitymoms.com) but this doesn’t mean they’re no longer suffering from infertility. Infertility, and miscarriages leave many women with PTSD, and other forms of generalized Anxiety disorder.

If anyone has questions about infertility, or needs someone to talk to, please don’t hesitate to reach out.
