I’m not decorating my home for people who don’t have to clean it or live in it.

There’s this constant pressure online that a home needs more decor, more styling, more “stuff” to be considered finished or cozy. But I’ve learned that every single item in a home comes with maintenance, time, and energy—and I’m intentional about what I choose to take on.

My home is minimal because I value calm, ease, and functionality in my real life. Not because I’m trying to impress anyone or meet outside expectations.

If you love a more decorated space, that’s great—but your home doesn’t have to look a certain way to be right.

It just has to work for you.

And for me, less works better.

What works for one person isn’t going to work for everyone. The beauty of systems is that you can do what works for your home and then adjust as necessary.

We made this system super simple so that our kids were able to also use it.

Systems don’t have to be perfect or solve every single issue. However, you just have to do what works best.
