We remodeled this kitchen 11 years ago, and honestly, it held up pretty well.

The countertops weren’t the problem.
The layout wasn’t the problem.
Cabinet space and storage weren’t the problem.

What started bothering me was how cold it felt.

Cooler gray tones, no natural wood, and finishes that didn’t feel like us anymore.

What I know for sure after living with my kitchen for 11 years: a kitchen doesn’t have to be trendy to still feel beautiful 10 years later, it just has to feel warm.

So this renovation isn’t about chasing trends. It’s about creating a home that feels warm enough that we’ll still love it another 10 years from now. 🤍

We’re not completely changing the kitchen layout.

We’re changing the feeling.

After living with this kitchen for 11 years, we realized the layout still works, but the cooler gray finishes started feeling colder than we wanted.

So this renovation is less about starting over and more about warming everything up:
