I saw everyone making those viral frozen gummies… and my brain immediately went, “But what if we made them SOUR?” 😂

So I rolled them in sour watermelon protein powder before freezing them, and now I’m obsessed.

Here’s how I made them:

I love a good candy salad but this version is like nature’s Skittles without any guilt🍓🍍🥝🍇

The tiny chopped fruit and melon balls are fun, but the real magic is the honey, lime & fresh basil dressing. It makes every bite sweet, bright, and ridiculously refreshing. This is one of my favorite easy summer recipes for BBQs, cookouts, pool days, or just keeping in the fridge for snacks.

(Busy mom hack-I add this to my protein cheesecake yogurt bowls for an easy, delicious and filling meal on the run!)

Honey Lime Basil Dressing
🍯 2 Tbsp honey
🍋 Juice of 1 lime
🌿 4-5 fresh basil leaves, finely chopped

Whisk together, pour over your chopped fruit, gently toss, and try not to eat the whole bowl standing at the counter. 😂 Seriously…I had to stop myself.

I pulled out all my containers ready to spend part of my Sunday prepping snacks and lunches for the week, and then remembered I don’t actually have to.

One of my favorite mom shortcuts lately has been keeping our fridge stocked with Little Spoon Lunchers and a few pantry staples like their Apple Pie Oat Bakes and Veggie Loops. My toddler thinks they’re getting fun snacks, and I love that they’re made with real ingredients, hidden veggies, and none of the artificial junk I try to avoid.

So many of you asked when and how we transitioned my toddler from the crib to big boy bed, so here’s Part 2. 💙

Before we ever transitioned from a crib to a floor bed, we taught him an ok-to-wake routine using our Hatch.

About 6 months before the transition:

🔴 Red means= stay in bed

🟢 Green means= get up and go

Every morning, when he woke up, the low red light would be on (I programmed it automatically for 6a) I’d watch the monitor and wait until he was ready to get up. Then I’d turn the Hatch green and walk into his room a few seconds later.

Over time, he learned:

🧸 Green light means Mom or Dad is coming

🧸 Green light means it’s time to start the day

🧸 Red light means stay safe in bed

By the time we moved him from his crib to a floor bed, the routine was already second nature.

Now whether it’s bedtime, nap time, or early morning, he usually wakes up, cuddles his stuffies, relaxes in bed, and waits for the green light. 🥹

And before anyone asks 😉…

If he needs us, he knows he can call for us at any time. We aren’t using the light to ignore him. It’s simply a visual cue that helped create consistency, independence and safety.

Every child is different, and this may not work for every family, but it has worked beautifully for ours.

People who think strawberry pretzel salad sounds questionable… and people who KNOW this dessert absolutely slaps 😂🍓🥨

This nostalgic strawberry pretzel salad recipe is one of those classic summer desserts that instantly takes me back to church potlucks and family cookouts.

Sweet, salty, creamy, crunchy… honestly she’s iconic for a reason. And yes, I will be doing a little dance every time I eat it. 💃🏼

RECIPE
6 oz strawberry jello
2 cups boiling water
12 Tbsn unsalted butter
1/4 cup granulated sugar
2 Cups crushed salted pretzels (4 cups whole)
8 oz cream cheese
1/2 cup granulated sugar
8 oz cool whip
1 pound fresh strawberries, sliced or chopped-your choice

1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Combine boiling water and jello until dissolved (do not follow instructions on box) Set aside to cool to room temp
2. Crush pretzels in a sturdy ziplock bag or food processor
3. In a medium saucepan, melt 12 Tbsp butter, then add 1/4 cup sugar and stir. Mix in crushed pretzels. Transfer to a 13×9 glass casserole dish, pressing the pretzel mix evenly over the bottom of the dish, and bake for 10 minutes at 350°F, then cool to room temperature.
4. Using a hand mixer, combine cream cheese, 1/2 c sugar. Then fold in cool whip. Spread over cooled pretzel layer, making sure to seal edges to prevent layers combining later. Set in fridge for 30 minutes.
5. Combine room temp jello and strawberries and pour over cream layer. Cover and place in fridge to set for 2-4 hours.

These might look like deviled eggs, but surprise… they’re actually soft, buttery cookies topped with frosting and little bunny “yolks” made from M&M’s 🩷💛

This is one of those low effort, high impact ideas that makes your kids think you’re basically the Easter Bunny’s assistant. And honestly? We love that for us.

RECIPE (makes 24 cookies)
1 8oz cream cheese
2 sticks of butter
1 Cup + 6 tablespoons sugar
2 Cups + 6 tablespoons all purpose flour
Sprinkles (optional)

Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Using a stand mixer (or hand mixer) cream butter and cream cheese. Add sugar and combine. Add flour in 3 parts. Fill molds with dough and bake for 20-22 minutes (until edges are golden brown). Butter will create a caramelized crust with a chewy center.). Create indent with a teaspoon measure spoon or something round and let cool completely.

Add favorite frosting (I used my cream cheese frosting- 4 oz cream cheese, 1 stick butter, 2 C powdered sugar, 1 teaspoon of vanilla…mix together until smooth) and topped with Easter m&ms. Enjoy!

Just a quick PSA…this is our “magic” handle! It helps so much keeping our very energetic toddler son near us when we are out and was especially helpful in Disney World! A little leprechaun breakfast magic for my toddler 🍀🌈

I love doing something fun for holidays… but I also don’t want breakfast turning into a full candy buffet before 9am 😅

So this was our simple + healthier St. Patrick’s Day breakfast idea:

🌈 rainbow fruit
☁️ vanilla yogurt with a drizzle of honey
🍀 “leprechaun yogurt” (just yogurt mixed with a little lime pudding mix)
✨ rainbow + gold sprinkles for the magic

The best part might actually be the plate. It was designed by a pediatrician and normally looks like a smiley face… but flip it upside down and it turns into the perfect rainbow with clouds (or a pot of gold!) which made this way too fun to put together.

Easy. Festive. Toddler approved.
