One year ago today! We had only shared our pregnancy news with close family and friends at this point, but I was bursting at the seams to tell the world I was going to be a mom. It was something I had always dreamed of, and now, I can honestly say, even on my most exhausting day, that sweet little girl of ours is the light of my life. Happy #SelfcareSunday, friends! I had my first real outing in almost 18 months yesterday, and it was equally amazing and stressful all at the same time. I really hate being away from my Sophia girl, but she had the best day with her Daddy and Grandpa.

Putting a full face of makeup on was also a bit of a throwback, especially since becoming a mom. Most of you know that I’ve been heavily focused on skincare for awhile now. #colleenrothschild’s line has been on my “to-try” list for a long time, but I never got around to ordering some items to test. I wasn’t able to use the oil because I’m still breastfeeding; however, the moisturizer is my new go-to for daytime. It was the perfect first step for this wedding-ready look as well! The consistency/texture of this product is probably my favorite aspect. @colleenrothschild has somehow found a way to transform a cloud into a face cream 😍. It’s very, very lightly fragranced, deeply moisturizes and doesn’t cause any caking or flaking when used under primer or foundation. I’m so impressed!

My favorite pumpkin in the patch! 🧡🧡🧡

Broke out all my staples this weekend - lululemon aligns, classic denim jacket and Keds slip-on sneakers. We spent some time at the farmer’s market after our flu shots on Saturday (can you say adulting 😂🤦🏻‍♀️), and Sophia absolutely loved it. These poor pandemic babies are always perplexed when they see more than a few people at one time, but the heirloom pumpkins really excited her.

I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again, if you’re pregnant or planning on being pregnant, get a pair of these leggings. Don’t try to save and get the Amazon dupes. Invest in one pair and I promise, you will thank me. These miracle leggings took me from pre-baby to postpartum flawlessly. They’re all I reach for these days too. ✨ @GardenofLife Probiotics: I started supplementing with a probiotic when I was in law school after months of battling back-to-back sinus infections. One of the PAs I saw often recommended adding one to my regime, and I can honestly say that it’s improved my overall health greatly. I personally never struggled with tummy or potty problems but many of the reviews say that it helped with those. My recommendation is to look for one that has at least 30 million CFU (colony forming units) to get the most benefit.

✨ @pinkstork Post-Natal Vitamin: I’m a sucker for gummy vitamins that are effective but gelatin-free. These are awesome, and definitely meet my postpartum needs. Unlike many other brands, you’re only required to take 2 per day. They don’t bother my stomach and taste delish!

Happy Sunday, friends! We ran errands this morning then tried a new park. Talk about #momlife, right? These days I’m reaching for easy, simple makeup products, so when #beautycountergiftedme their #thinkbiggerthinkbetter mascara, I was eager to give it a try. I must say, I’m rather impressed, especially because it’s a clean formula. Those are notorious for lacking certain mascara features we’ve all come to know and love. @beautycounter did an incredible job formulating a volumizing and lengthening product that’s light enough for days like today. It’s worth a try, if you’re in the market for a clean option. My only complaint is the brush. I don’t love the plastic ones, and generally use those in combination with a standard bristle mascara product.

It’s been a while but Self-care Sunday is back! This week’s feature is an oldie but a goodie. Recently, Josie Maran gifted me her amazing whipped argan oil face butter. I used this product for years as a night cream, and adored every second of its ultra hydrating, skin-smoothing properties. I ended up also loving the benefits of plant-based retinol, so I switched things up; however, when you’re pregnant or nursing, those products are off limits. Needless to say, I’ve fallen back in love with this cream and have been reaching for it both day and night. Even if you have oilier skin, I’d recommend giving this a try. Keeping skin hydrated is actually a why to combat excess oil production!

In all seriousness though, fed is certainly best. No matter how you choose to feed your baby, you’re an incredible mama. What I will say is no one talks about the challenges of breastfeeding.🤱🏻

It will forever be the best thing I’ve ever done for Sophia, but holy hell, it’s a lot of work. It’s a full time job on top of everything else that comes along with life and motherhood. What’s so crazy? I wouldn’t change it for the world. I thought I’d be done when I hit the 3 month mark…but I’m not. In these times, I love the bond we have because of it and, more importantly, the health benefits. She’s thriving and that’s all we can ask for.

Longest Monday I’ve had in a while but how gorgeous was today’s weather? I’m officially 12 weeks postpartum and ready to get moving again! Although I’d like to get back into my barre program, I’m taking things slow and focusing on getting those 10k steps in, so we took a walk during lunch.
