Bromelain is a protein in the core of a pineapple that helps reduce swelling and pain. It’s fairly common for surgeons and post op providers to recommend pineapple to help with swelling. However, this important protein is broken down significantly during the canning process which means you don’t get what you need to help you. 🫣It’s better to get fresh pineapple or Bromelain pills to ensure you’re getting what your body needs to help you during your recovery process.
