We loved this closet project so much! Truly an archive of a life well lived…from the classics like her wedding dress, to her original Girl Scouts uniform, capped off with pieces from her mother.

It reads like a walk down memory lane and we know each article preserved in this space has a story to tell!

Someone has a big birthday today! Happy 250th, America!🇺🇸 🧨

Coming at you from the most organized wrapping room of all time. Fun fact is that this space was reimagined from a former laundry room…and we just love how perfect it is for gifting!

Peep this utility closet that is ready to pick up spills! And there is space to grow into it, which is always a win. 🏆

I spy a pantry fully stocked for summer - plenty of snacks, essentials for s’mores and all the baking necessities. Now if only it could magically stay this way.

Cue some TBM maintenance sessions…honestly, having the house reset while you are away on summer vacation is one of the best ways to do it! If you’re curious, let’s chat!

To decant or not to decant….that is the age old question. And one we pose to each client getting ready for some pantry magic.

Because here’s the deal, if we decant items, it means YOU have to decant items when you get back from the grocery. That takes time! It also takes up space because the leftover backstock often needs to be stored.

Closet dreams really do come true. 🪄 From the moment before a single box arrived on Friday, to today, when every item has been meticulously unpacked, organized and is adjusting to its new home.

We love this point in the process - things are 85% complete and we get to explore organizing product to intentionally take things to 100%!

As we kick off four back to back moves tomorrow morning 😳, we have to remember that things always get more chaotic before they feel settled. But when you have a team of superstar organizers helping you unbox, organize, plan and implement systems, things take shape much quicker!

So off I go to dream of the finished spaces that will be making an appearance soon, like this beautiful closet where almost everything was concealed behind closed cabinetry. Nighty night! 😴

When pressed for a favorite space to organize, I always say pantries! They are the space that everyone in the home touches daily, is replenished weekly and is the starting point for all of the great meals around the table.

Creating a system that works for even the littlest family member, but feels elevated enough to keep the doors open is always the end goal. 🪄

Uniform hangers, one of the simplest ways to completely shift how your closet feels…

and it has nothing to do with buying more clothes.

When everything is on different hangers, different colors, shapes, textures, it creates visual clutter, even if your closet is technically “organized.”

Your eye doesn’t get to rest!

But when you switch to uniform hangers… everything changes:

It feels lighter.
More intentional.
More put together (without adding anything new!)

It’s a small detail, but it makes your space feel curated instead of chaotic.

Our custom liners now carefully line each and every cabinet and drawer, ensuring cabinetry is protected for good. We implemented systems to lessen food waste (meal prep items go in the kitchen, while snacks take over the pantry) and lots of items were rehomed within the kitchen based on use.

Our #1 goal when organizing a space is to create a CUSTOM system that works for the entire family.

If this space doesn’t inspire P L A Y, we’re not sure what does! When our client reached out, she had two major goals:

1) Move toys out of the bedroom and into this sweet little top of the stairs nook.

2) Keep the tree bookshelf, but source pieces that transition from play to elevated storage as the kids age.

We love that our client was open to adding some color + pattern and feel like this mix of systems and product perfectly achieved the goals!

April marks the kick off to the @showhouseindy season and we just need to take a moment to remember this FUN pantry that we had the pleasure of transforming last year!! We tried to infuse unexpected delight in each area and I was so proud of how it came together.

The St Margaret’s Guild pours time into creating this showcase of local design talent each year and this year’s house tour needs to be on your Spring must-do list. It makes for the most lovely Mother’s Day gift, too!

✔️ Use large, clearly labeled bins to simplify clean-up (bonus points if you use photo labels for littles)
✔️ Stick to a neutral color palette to reduce visual clutter
✔️ Group toys by category for easy resets
✔️ Store puzzles and board games vertically (like books on shelves) or reduce them down in size by storing them in labeled vinyl bags
✔️ Choose bins that grow with your kids (hello, longevity)

When was the last time you took inventory of what’s expired or no longer edible in your pantry?

Here are a few tips to help you live with less and waste less:

✔️ Pull everything out and group like with like (snacks, grains, canned goods, baking supplies)

✔️ Toss what's expired (yes, even that seasoning you haven’t touched since 2018)

✔️ Use clear bins or baskets to contain categories and make things easy to see and grab

✔️ Write down what you already have and plan meals around it before hitting the grocery store

✔️ Less variety = less waste. Stick to what you know you’ll eat
