2. Prioritize Deep Conditioning & Steaming:
Make a dedicated deep conditioning treatment a non-negotiable part of every wash day, using a hair steamer or heated cap to allow the moisture and proteins to penetrate the hair shaft for maximum benefit.

3. Use a Clarifying Shampoo Regularly:
Incorporate a clarifying shampoo once a month or every 4-6 weeks to remove product buildup (especially if you use heavy oils or silicones), ensuring your conditioning treatments can actually work and your hair feels lighter and cleaner.

5. Master the Blow Dry Technique (The Foundation of a Press):
Instead of just rough-drying, use the tension method with a blow dryer and a comb/brush attachment to get the hair as straight as possible while wet. This minimizes the need for high heat from the flat iron later, reducing heat damage.
