Still catching up on Milan days. We started the morning on the metro heading to the Leonardo da Vinci Museum, but right as the train was about to leave, it stopped because a man had passed out on the floor. He may have had one too many the night before. Someone eventually stepped in to help, and once things settled, we were back on our way. The museum was huge. With two little kids and after already going to several churches and museums, it was hard to stay focused. But once we reached the Leonardo da Vinci section, I was locked in. That was the coolest part. They had replicas of his sketches and inventions, and I was all about it. Uncle Bill stepped into tour guide mode again, and I was quietly hoping the kids were actually picking up a thing or two from him. Later that day, we went to the top of the Duomo. I booked elevator tickets ahead of time because I knew I was going to be done with stairs by that point. It ended up being the easiest rooftop we visited. There were a few steps to get to the very top, but it wasn’t bad. The views were still beautiful, even with the scaffolding up. Now about that big girl purchase. I started the trip thinking I wanted a Celine bag. I had photos saved and was convinced I knew exactly what I was looking for. But the bag I had been eyeing wasn’t Celine at all. It was Chloe. I totally mixed up the names because they sound so similar. We kept looking for Celine stores, and when I finally walked into one, I was confused why my bag wasn’t there. I pulled up my photos, looked closely, and realized I’d been searching for the wrong brand the whole time. It was a funny moment for sure. Eventually, I found the Chloe bag I wanted and bought it. Zach wasn’t thrilled, but I absolutely was.
