I’ve had their two-part version for a while and really do like it…it’s held up through a year of weekly washes and big family kitchen chaos. But every single con came from that setup: reattaching the layers after washing, corners that never wanted to lay flat, and the occasional wrestling match with the vacuum.

When we added onto our house, we ended up with this tricky little space. Low ceilings, no closet, not much natural light.

There was no point in trying to fake “airy and bright”, so we carved out a bed nook under the short ceiling and painted every inch a deep, moody teal. After adding in some warm accents, this awkward space felt…inviting. Intentional.

There’s still a few things on the to do list (it’s begging for a rug), but even as-is, it’s cozy, calm, and ready for its teenage resident.

I’ve owned my Ruggable rug for a year now. it gets incredibly disgusting (6 kids… need I say more?) and I wash and dry it every single week. I decided to write a full review on the blog, which you can read here👇

Here’s the TDLR - Pros are that it washes great, has held up well, and stays put (doesn’t slide around the kitchen). Cons are that the corners don’t lay completely flat, vacuuming is a little iffy, and it can be a frustrating to stick back together after washing. Overall though, I’m very happy with it and would buy it again.
