After years of testing peel-and-stick wallpaper on both textured and smooth walls, I finally found a removable wallpaper I feel completely comfortable recommending: Love vs. Design glissade removable prepasted wallpaper.

The funny part is I originally ordered it by accident during one of my peel-and-stick tests, and it ended up changing my mind about what kind of removable wallpaper I’d use in my own home.

Part 2 of this teen girl bedroom makeover: figuring out the design. We started with the wallpaper and let that give us a direction for everything else - paint, furniture, curtains, rug and bedding. The bedroom makeover for my stepdaughter is coming together! The paneling is done, the wallpaper is up, and now I’m working through all the fun finishing touches. First up: the bed.

Here are my favorites from Ruggable’s new all-in-one washable rug system!

Ever wonder why a paint color looks perfect in the store or your friend’s house but weird in yours? It’s not the paint, it’s the light. The direction of your windows completely changes how a color reads.

(This breakdown is for the Northern Hemisphere. If you’re in the Southern Hemisphere, flip north and south. The effect is the same, just reversed.)
