40. My Friends by Fredrik Bachman :: 5/5⭐️ Louisa just lost her best friend Fish, and she REALLY wants to see a painting that she has been obsessed with. But the painting is in a fancy gallery with snobby rich people who think it’s just a painting of the sea, but Louisa knows it’s so much more than that. I guess Louisa gets too close to the painting and the snobby rich people don’t like that. So she is chased out of the gallery and finds herself colliding w a homeless person in an alleyway. This chance encounter sets her life on a whole new trajectory. I fully expected to be sobbing at multiple points in this book, but it was actually amazing, and I never actually cried lol. It’s one of those heartbreakingly beautiful books that just makes you want to hug all of the characters and tell them it’ll all be ok. Didn’t like the fact that they kept calling a 39 year old character old and elderly though🤣. LTKdayinmylife LTKHome LTKTravel
