17. The Everlasting by Alix E. Harlow :: 4.5/5⭐️ VERY interesting storyline! Owen Mallory is a failure who falls in love w the legend of Sir Una Everlasting. Una is a knight who dies for her queen and who is known as the greatest hero. Unas real story is wildly unknown, so Owen tries to tell her story. Owen and Una meet beneath the Yew tree and get tangled up in time itself. But in order to write Unas story, they must first rewrite history itself. The beginning was a little slow for me but the middle and ending really picked up! I loved the concept of this story! LTKdayinmylife LTKstorytime LTKTravel

21. Ready Player One by Ernest Cline :: 5/5⭐️ woah this book blew me away!! Another book I read on a total whim and absolutely LOVED! I listened to the audio and it was fantastic! The year is 2040 and the OASIS, a virtual reality world better than the real world, is synonymous with the Internet. The OASISs creator dies and leaves an Easter egg hidden somewhere in the game, the first person to find it gets his entire fortune. This sparks a world wide man hunt for the Easter egg, 5 years after the hunt began, someone finally gets their name on the score board. The story depicts the players race to the end of the game. I’m telling you it was an amazing read! I thought it was written more recently because some of the current events were a little too close to home, but it was actually written in 2011…

20. Powerless by Elsie silver :: 4/5⭐️ the third book in the Chestnut Springs series follows Cades adopted cousin, Jasper. They touched on this storyline very slightly in book 2. I liked the story, but not as much as the first 2 books. I’ll absolutely continue the series though!

19. Daisy Haites by Jessa Hastings :: 3.5/5⭐️ not a bad book by any means, I just realized this celebrity gossip type book isn’t my cup of tea! I wanted more of what was going on with Magnolia and BJ, but we just got breadcrumbs til the very last chapter. Will I finish the series… TBD honestly

18. Seven Days in June by Tia Williams :: 5/5⭐️ Eva Mercy is the author of a best selling romance book, she’s also so single mom who deals with chronic pain and migraines all the time. One day her past meets her present when an old flame reappears at one of her book events. Many many years ago, for one week in June, Eva and Shane were in love, but what will happen when they see each other for the first time since then?? Ok LOVED this book!!! It wasn’t at all what I was expecting. I listened on audio and it was so well done! HIGHLY recommend!

16. The night we met by Abby Jimenez :: 5/5⭐️ I loved every single second of this book! Larissa met Mike and Chris after a concert one night. She took a ride from Mike and they started dating. Chris is Mikes best friend and he’s got his own stuff going on. Larissa’s life seems to be off the rails right now and when Chris and Larissa start hanging out more, and Chris treats her like the queen she should be treated like, they start developing feelings for each other. But they can never be together because it will destroy everyone else. My favorite male narrator read this book, so it made me love it even more! Honestly, even tho the subject matter is much heavier and deeper than some of her other books, it was amazing ! I got chills at some point and it kept my attention the entire time! Can not recommend enough. Trigger warnings stated at the beginning of the book.

15. The correspondent by Virginia Evans :: 4.75/5⭐️ PHEW. This one got me at the end. Sybil Van Antwerp writes letters, and emails, they’re her preferred method of communication. She’ll write to anyone, authors, friends, family, pen pals, colleges, but you see, Sybil is going through something that threatens to change everything about the one thing she loves to do- write. I listened on audio and LOVED it! The different voices for each character really made the experience so much better! The entire book is made up of letters and emails that Sybil has both sent and received. They’re all in chronological order, so some of the storylines can get a little confusing if you’re not paying attention. We get to see all of her thoughts and basically her life fold out letter after letter. Amazing concept of a story. If you like Evidence of the Affair by TJR, you’ll love the format of this book! The end had me tearing (read:sobbing). Amazing read! I also wound up buying this one so I can see the format and follow along!

14. Essentialism by Greg McKeown :: 4/5⭐️ a little self help book about managing time and saying ‘no’ more! I found myself agreeing with many of the points made in this book! Can’t remember where it was recommended from, but I’m glad I read it!

13. Heartless by Elsie Silver :: 4.75/5⭐️ YESSSSSS!! Exactly the book I needed!!! This funny, easy to listen to romance was just perfection! Willa is visiting her best friend in her small town and when she is getting her morning coffee, she bumps into a handsome stranger. She’ll obviously never see him again…. Except, turns out he’s her new boss! Cade Eaten needs someone to help him on his farm, as a single dad, it’s hard juggling his adorable 5 year old son, while working and tending to the farm, so when Willa shows up willing to Nanny, it’s a win win! Except there’s a lot more that goes into it… What’s really going on between Willa and Cade?? I took off some points because of a plot point in the book that I didn’t like, which they did handle very well! I absolutely can not wait to finish the series!

12. Red Rising by Pierce Brown :: 3.75/5⭐️ Darrow is from the Red class, the lowest of the color caste of the future on Mars. He and his fellow reds believe that are working to make the surface of Mars livable for future generations, but what he finds out is that the surface of Mars has been livable and thriving for a long time. When his wife sacrifices herself to wake people up, Darrow follows her lead and tries to infiltrate the institute. He finds himself competing against Golds, the ruling caste. Contrary to many reviewers, I actually liked the beginning 35% of the book better than the last part. It was very similar to hunger games and when they first got into that part of the book, I was annoyed that another book took this route. So if you love the hunger games storyline you’ll love this book!
