Our favorite books over the past few months have been the Training Young Hearts series by Abbey Wedgeworth. They make the gospel so approachable for kids and they are just adorable! They also talk about common not-so-kind behaviors we all encounter with our toddlers. I find myself repeating the truths from these books all day and my boys are starting to understand the WHY behind their choices. All around a GREAT choice for the playroom bookshelf!!

I found THE mom short of the summer! I was so close to snagging the viral target agolde dupes, but I just have such bad luck with denim shorts that have a split seam. Anyone else get SO tired of the seams curling after washing?

Enter THESE denim shorts for only $18! They are the perfect medium wash (this post has no filter or color editing) and have a good amount of stretch. Easter basket for sister!

the most incredible, affordable, realistic Christmas tree!

we're on Christmas #5 with this tree and are absolutely still loving it. the tips of the needles taper and there is almost no shedding when we pull it out and put it up year after year. I make sure to take my time fluffing and it ends up looking absolutely incredible-- super full and still so easy to decorate! we have the 7.5 ft tree for our 9 ft ceiling height.

Found our new go-to shorts! These shorts come in size xs-xl (fits true to size-- I'd say xs definitely fits like a size 6 but don't swallow our 4 year old, so definitely will be what he wears next year) and FOURTEEN colors! They remind me so much of the prepletic sheffield shorts and properly tied court shorts but have an additional inner drawstring for extra waist adjustment 🎉 They're also slightly longer with a 5 inch inseam, so perfect for tall kiddos or even school uniform! Family photo looks!

The earth tones we picked would complement nearly any shoot location and will look so good framed in our home! We went for a base of neutrals and added greens and blues, but wanted to make sure it wasn't tooooo matchy-matchy!

Jack's sweet green Sophie and Lucas market bubble was purchased from a local boutique.

Walker's button-down is from Kevin's, a local men's store and has the same tri-color plaid as the boys' shirts.

Southern front porch MUSTS!

Living in a new-construction home, we are constantly looking for ways to add our style and character. We live in a smart home community and gas is a no-go, but I adore the look of gas lanterns on the front porch!! These led bulbs fit normal candelabra fixtures and look incredible up close and even better from the sidewalk! They should last decades and cost nearly nothing to leave running!
