Making coffee has never been more of a cinematic experience☕️✨😂

RECIPE:
1. Double shot mixed with 21g (1 tbsp) sweetener, pinch of salt, dash of cinnamon
2. Cold foam is 2 oz of heavy cream or milk mixed with 1/2 tbsp sweetener
3. Combine everything over ice (mix milk with espresso before adding to ice if you REALLY want it to taste good… I just pour espresso later for aesthetics 😂)

One of my biggest challenges in recovery was not a rest day in general, but a rest day that I didn’t plan. I would fixate on how guilty I felt all day for not working out. I would make up 8 different scenarios about how I could fit in exercise later in the day, even though I knew I should rest. I would lay on my bed in the morning just going back and forth in my thoughts of if I’m doing what’s right, or just being lazy…

Today, I find SO MUCH JOY in my rest days, especially the unplanned ones. But it wasn’t just a switch that flipped… it took practice and time. Doing the uncomfortable rest days over and over until they became less daunting. Learning what it meant to fully surrender my plans and trust God’s guidance.

No matter where you are at in your fitness journey, know that you aren’t alone, and I pray that you can find contentment in the discomfort ❤️‍🩹

I know this isn’t some groundbreaking video, but when I catch little moments like this, it just reminds me how kind of a man I married. It’s not the fact that he helped me clean up, or the fact that he got towels when I asked. What I see in this video is a man who saw his wife disappointed and WANTED to help.
