I love classic looks especially for work! I went on my first work trip with my new company and I wore this black and white outfit! I kept it pretty simple though each piece has its’ own personality. An all black Winter look! I wore my knitted flare sleeve dress with a sleeveless duster vest. For accessories, I chose gold accents. I used to wear a lot of statement jewelry but that ended during in grad school. However, I occasionally pull out some bold things for minimal outfits.

As I mature, I no longer want to purchase items that lack versatility. One of the things my new acquisitions have to meet is whether or not I can wear it for multiple times? I serendipitously found this sheer black floral skirt the day before I decided to go into the office! I work primarily from home but I appear in the office every full moon 😉 I paired this pencil skirt with a simple wool short sleeve top and my leather suede mules! It was the perfect outfit for work! These mules are still in stock and available in many sizes! I have a standing desk at work and I was able to last in them all day! Note that they do take some time to break in - I wore these mules to a conference in Vienna and walked all over the convention center prior to this!

Full corporate mode! My summer work events have concluded but that doesn’t mean I can’t incorporate my workwear into my daily outfits! I paired this crystal button collar shirt with my jacquard pencil skirt for a striking yet subtle all blue modest look. I can’t wait to wear this to my next event! On a side note, I went into the office for the first time since May and it was a ghost town. People really do prefer working in the comfort of their own home. It was a nice change of scenery for me and I was able to catch up with some colleagues who were there!

I decided to get creative for work this morning! Instead of adding a jacket or coat, I decided to layer up my tops!
