A black power suit is always a good idea when you have nothing to wear. I love this A.L.C. Blazer since it cinches my waist and has gold buttons that line the front of this piece and along the sleeves. It adds a little more depth and character to an otherwise muted look.

I turned an otherwise simple outfit into something a little different with some faux fur cuffs. I got these back in undergrad as boot cuffs but decided to give them another chance of life as sleeve cuffs. I’m all for shopping my own closet and making the most of what I already own! To break up an otherwise all black outfit, I wore this slate grey A-line skirt.

I wore my contrast collar and cuff top to kick start the year; this executive top with an orchid is the same one I’m wearing in my LinkedIn picture! Instead of wearing it with a leather pencil skirt, I paired it with a midnight blue with red wool plaid midi skirt. Since in office days are typically long, I opted for my suede and leather mules for comfort!

Working in a corporate setting in the heart of biotech means learning how to dress warmly and professionally. I love creating new outfits because it allows me to tap into the creative side of my brain! Instead of opting for your typical all black business casual look, I decided to spruce it up with a grey-white-black blend cape with gold snap closures! This cape coat sure did make a statement - I found myself making an entrance and a grand departure every time I entered or exited a conference room.

Wore a neutral old money inspired look for my meeting today. I normally follow an internal outfit formula and rarely wear two oversized pieces together but I wanted something comfortable. I paired my double breasted plaid blazer with a cropped v-neck sweater vest along with my high waisted pleated trousers. For accessories, I chose my tan Tory Burch tote and my chocolate brown suede/leather ankle boots.

When i can’t seem to find the right outfit, an all black look is my default. I paired my jacquard peplum sleeveless top with my cigarette / ankle pants and slingbacks. To add a little definition to my look, I accessorized with a large square belt around my waist and my tri-colored MCM tote.
