A complete black and white look featuring my new suede platform sneakers from J/Slides! It’s been raining quite frequently in San Diego but when the sun came out, I immediately took these out for a spin! I created a look that complimented my shoes with a sheer collar button down, cropped sweater vest, leather shorts and a midi length tweed coat.

I hope you had a wonderful Memorial Day weekend! I spent it going to some of my favorite spots around San Diego. It was extremely crowded downtown with the holiday and Padres game. It was still pretty chilly but it looks like it’s finally heating up this week! I wore this cream/ivory sequin shell top and side lace-up shorts on a peculiarly warm day. I paired it with my bucket bag and leather slides. Happy Tuesday and enjoy the short work week, everyone!

I’m retiring my puffer jackets for the season as the temperature begins to increase. This almond quilted piece is a unique puffer that doesn’t have a zipper but rather it has ties for closure! I paired this with an all black base.

Slowly tapping into my cowgirl era! I do own quite a bit of denim pieces so you’ll be seeing more of it this summer! This is actually a denim dress that I wore as a coat. It was a bit chilly over the weekend so I layered it on top of my fringe mini dress. MediHeal’s Teatree Trouble Pad comes in a refillable container and also includes plastic tweezer so you can easily grab the square cotton pads without contaminating it.

After cleansing my face, I use a full pad on my cheeks. This is similar to gauze so if you want to cover smaller portions of your face, like your forehead and chin, you can easily tear and adjust the cotton pad to your liking.

I initially left this on my face for only 5 minutes to see if my skin would react to it but thankfully, everything worked out fine!

Afterwards, I take the pad and use it to wipe my face to enhance absorption. The hero ingredients are TeaTreee from Jeju Island and Lactobacillus.

I wanted to share one of my latest favorite products: MediHeal’s Teatree Calming Moisture Ampoule.

I have combination skin where it’s oily in certain regions and dry in others. On top of that, I have sensitive, acne-prone skin. Teatree is thought to be acne-fighting so I was excited to try this out! This is highly concentrated and made with 92% Tea Tree Leaf Water to strengthen the skin barrier.

I have now integrated this scentless Teatree ampoule into my everyday routine! I feel as if it makes me skin feel more dewy, supple, and smooth. I’ve also noticed that my makeup sits much better when I use this as a base with my moisturizer!

Took my new sneakers out for a spin! I’ve been opting for comfort when it comes to shoes though I still do occasionally wear heels. I am pretty petite so I look for anything that can give me a boost in height. Platform sneakers tend to be heavy but these are not! I was surprised at just how lightweight these sneakers were even with the ridged rubber platform! I love the color combination and it worked perfectly with this look!

Styling can have a drastic impact on the way you present yourself to the world! I know it may not appear like it however, I feel as if I’ve been really lazy with my outfits. I don’t think I put that much effort into my looks anymore and maybe that’s a good thing! I used to be more flamboyant and my blog certainly documents that. I do prefer more minimalistic and refined pieces now which is perfectly reflected here.

Spring is finally here! The weather is a still bit confusing in San Diego with the constant rain and random hour of blazing sun. Nevertheless, I’m enjoying the outdoors whenever I can! Spent the day in Riverside and visited the Mission Inn! Not much has changed since the last time I was there however, there were some spots that were closed off due to slipping hazards from the rain. These high waisted wool trousers are one of my most comfortable bottoms! They’re actually travel pants though I do occasionally wear them to work! Spring weather is unpredictable. It could be blazing hot one day and raining the next. How do I stay prepared… especially when I travel? I bring my favorite raincoat! It’s very lightweight and doesn’t take up any room yet it keeps me dry and warm. I’m glad I brought it alone during my business trip to Chicago because it was raining on and off. For this look, I finished a day long of meetings and decided to continue wearing my contrast collar blue and white striped button down. I’ve always been a big bag kind of girl, especially when it comes to work. The ability to put all my necessities into a single bag that I can toss over my shoulder is something I’ve looked for in a bag since middle school. I went from a messenger bag to wearing purely totes in high school and beyond. Since working in the corporate world, having a carryall powerhouse is a must. I recently wore this Tory Burch tote to a meeting in Palo Alto.
