Unpopular opinion: faux greenery can look just as beautiful as the real thing. 🌿

The secret is finding branches with natural movement, realistic foliage, and just the right amount of imperfection. These have all three, and I’m convinced they’re some of the most realistic faux branches I’ve ever found.

No watering, no wilting, just beautiful greenery year-round. 🤎

A cozy, collected living room inspired by European interiors and old-world design 🤎 Chocolate brown upholstery, softly draped linen curtains, warm neutral walls, layered lighting and vintage-inspired details create a space that feels elegant, lived-in and timeless.

I love how the neutral linen curtains and rug soften the dark brown sofa and bring that relaxed, romantic look to the room while still letting in beautiful natural light.

Save this for inspiration if you love moody living rooms, European interior design, English-inspired interiors, brown living room ideas, neutral home decor, linen curtains, cozy living rooms, old-world interiors and collected homes.

How to make faux branches look real 🍂

The trick is to stop treating them like faux stems.

Real branches aren’t perfectly straight, symmetrical or equally full—so before I put mine in a vase, I always manipulate them a little.

Bend the main stem to create a more natural shape, bend the smaller branches in different directions, and remove a few leaves so every section isn’t perfectly full. I also vary the height and direction of each stem instead of arranging them too evenly.

It’s such a small styling detail, but it makes faux fall branches look SO much more natural and gives you that loose, collected arrangement instead of the “straight out of the package” look.

Save this for your fall decorating 🍂

Plot twist: they’re faux 😂🌿

And probably the most realistic faux branches I’ve ever found. I use them ALL over my house because look at them?!

Moody Neutral Living Room with Chocolate Brown Sofa! A warm, collected living room layered with a chocolate brown sofa, soft linen curtains, a neutral area rug, vintage-inspired furniture and sculptural lighting. I love mixing rich brown tones with warm neutrals, natural textures and old-world details to create a cozy living room that feels elegant, lived-in and timeless. Chocolate Brown Sofa Styling & Cozy Collected Living Room! Chocolate brown is one of my favorite ways to bring depth and warmth into a neutral room. This living room combines a rich brown sofa with tonal pillows, draped fabric, airy linen curtains, black iron accent tables and organic branches for a cozy, collected look. The mix of soft textiles and vintage-inspired details gives the space that relaxed, old-world feeling I love.

This jean corset had me at the silhouette. 🤎 The rich brown floral print, structured fit, and gold buttons make it feel like the perfect statement piece for transitioning into fall. Pairing it with simple black denim and letting the corset do all the work. 🤎

You’re not going to believe this fall tablescape AND my outfit are from Walmart 👀🍂 I wanted my dining room to feel collected, romantic, and timeless for fall, so I leaned into the Modern Heirloom look with floral dinnerware, vintage-inspired silverware and all the little details that make a table feel special. Now I just need to figure out what I’m cooking 😂 #WalmartPartner @Walmart

Working from home means I technically have nowhere to be… but kindergarten pickup has become my personal Fashion Week. 😂

My little guy hypes me up EVERY single time I come get him, so naturally I now have a reputation to uphold. 😂 Meanwhile, morning drop-off me—when my husband takes him—is an entirely different woman. We don’t know her.

Honestly, it’s become one of my favorite parts of the day. I get an excuse to put on a cute outfit, leave the house, and wait for my favorite tiny fashion critic’s reaction. 🥹🤎

Curly hair moms, this one’s for you. 🤎 I get asked ALL the time what products I use in my 5-year-old’s curls, so I figured it was finally time to share a little of our curly hair wash day routine—and the fact that I’ve somehow become his barber too. 😂 From keeping his curls moisturized and defined to learning how to give him a fade, wash day has become one of my favorite ways to bond with my boys. #momlife #selfcare #washdayroutine #washday #haircare

This stone-washed linen bedding gives the bedroom such a relaxed, luxurious feel. The warm taupe color, beautifully draped fabric, and casually rumpled texture create an elevated, lived-in bed that feels cozy, timeless, and effortlessly collected. One of my favorite luxury-looking Etsy finds for a neutral bedroom.

Linen Roman Shades for a Warm, Moody Living Room.

These relaxed linen Roman shades are such an easy way to make a living room feel softer and more elevated. I love the slightly undone, draped look against the brown limewash walls, it adds texture, filters the natural light beautifully, and gives the entire space that cozy, collected feel I’m always after.

Affordable Wood Bookshelves That Look Custom.

One of my favorite tricks for making affordable furniture look more expensive: repetition. I placed a few of these budget-friendly wood bookshelves side by side to create the look of a custom built-in without the custom price tag. The dark wood adds so much warmth and character, especially paired with moody brown walls and layered neutral decor. Such an easy way to get an elevated, collected look on a budget.

White Slipcover Chair for a Moody Living Room. 🤎

A white slipcover chair is one of my favorite ways to add contrast to a dark, moody living room. The relaxed linen look softens rich brown walls, dark furniture, and warm neutral tones while keeping the space feeling cozy, collected, and inviting instead of heavy.

#LTKHome

My formula for designing a moody room that still feels soft, warm, and inviting: brown limewashed walls, a color-drenched ceiling, dark wood, relaxed linen, sculptural lighting, and plenty of contrast.

Moody interiors don’t have to feel cold or heavy - the right textures and tonal balance can make a dark room feel like a hug.

If you’re looking for timeless portrait art for your home, I’m sharing how I find sophisticated portraits of people of color that add warmth, history, and a collected feel to my spaces because thoughtfully chosen artwork doesn’t just fill a wall, it tells a story and creates a home that feels personal, layered, and timeless.

Here’s everything I used to build this hidden media console, including the bookshelves, stain, curtain rods, curtains, and hardware. I couldn’t find a media console that fit my space, so I built one using bookshelves pushed together, stained them to look custom, then added curtain rods and linen curtains to hide all of the toys, games, and everyday clutter inside. It gives us the storage our family needs while keeping our living room looking clean, calm, and intentionally designed. Save this DIY for your next living room makeover.

I skipped the Frame TV and hid my television behind a tapestry instead, and I honestly love the look even more, would you ever try this Frame TV alternative in your own home?

#LTKHome

I transformed my front porch using mostly secondhand vintage finds to create a timeless, collected outdoor space on a budget.

I’m on a mission to prove that you can layer patterns without making a room feel overwhelming. The secret is choosing patterns that complement one another while repeating colors and mixing scales to create a space that feels collected instead of chaotic.

For our media room, I wanted something playful enough to double as a playroom, yet timeless and nostalgic, almost like the cozy charm of an old movie theater. I layered a striped thrifted sofa and ottoman, patterned rug, warm wallpaper, soft lighting, candle sconces (with faux candles for safety), and a @Lulu and Georgia sideboard that adds beautiful hidden storage beneath the TV.

I’ve linked everything I could so you can recreate this cozy, character-filled look in your own home. Save this for inspiration, and tap to shop all of my favorites. 🤎 My Slipcovers are from Bemz! 🫶🏽

Builder-grade bathroom makeover ideas don’t have to be expensive! Here’s how I used ceiling-to-floor shower curtains, a double shower rod hack, wallpaper, limewash, and a few designer upgrades to create two cozy, spa-like bathrooms, and I’ve linked everything in my bio.

#yorkwallcoveringspartner One design choice that instantly makes a room feel custom? A scenic mural. ✨

For our movie room, I used @york_wallcoverings ' Morning Light Scenic Pastures Peel & Stick Mural, ( https://bit.ly/4ycYvmD ) and it's completely transformed the space. What surprised me most is that I ordered three panels of the same mural, and the design seamlessly repeats itself, picking up right where it left off. This allowed me to continue the landscape across multiple walls and create a much more immersive, designer-looking room.

It's one of those details that makes people stop and ask, "Wait... who designed this space?"

If you're looking for a way to add character, depth, and that collected-over-time feeling to your home, mural wallpaper might be the design trick you've been missing.

One of my favorite designer tricks? Stop letting appliances steal the spotlight.

If you have a microwave, mini fridge, or other kitchen eyesore that disrupts the look of your space, try this simple DIY cafe curtain. I used a magnetic cafe rod, leftover fabric, and hemming tape to create a custom curtain that instantly softened the look of my microwave and made it feel intentional instead of utilitarian.

It’s an easy renter-friendly decorating idea that adds charm, texture, and a custom designer touch without spending much money.

Little details like this are what make a home feel collected, cozy, and thoughtfully designed.
