If you’re ready to refresh your wardrobe but don’t know where to start — these are the workhorses I reach for on repeat all fall + winter. Versatile, flattering, easy to style a million ways… and the sweaters I’m actually excited to put on.

Living in the Northeast, I wear a lot of sweaters and not surprisingly one of questions I get asked most (especially in Fall) is which of my sweaters are truly my favorites. I judge a sweater on three things: Is it cozy and warm (but not itchy)? Is it cute? Will I get a lot of use out of it this year and for years to come? So here are my picks for the sweaters I truly love and reach for most often. Some of these are definitely investment pieces but I stand by them because they're so good and I plan to wear them for years and years. I also included a couple alternatives at lower price points that I own and love as well in case you arent ready to invest in some of the pricier options.

Also including a few honorable mentions, that I own and also highly recommend at low price points. I wear a small in all, except oversized Quincd cashmere, I sized up 1 to a medium in that style.

My #1 question I get asked is “Where do I start when rebuilding my wardrobe?” And I totally get it - there’s so much out there it can feel overwhelming (and not to mention expensive).

When in doubt I always go back to the classics. High quality, versatile pieces that make you feel confident and that you’ll actually wear on repeat. Think an elevated tee, an oversized button-down, the perfect pair of jeans.

And here’s the best part… today I’m sharing my most worn staples that ring in under $100. Affordable, timeless, the exact pieces that ground my everyday outfits.

1) The perfect white tee. My go-to is from J. Crew. Soft, structured, holds its shape. So versatile. Own in XS and S (my true size).
2) Levi’s 501 90’s. The best pair of affordable jeans hands down. Flattering and giving vintage vibes without the price tag. Sized down to a 24x30.
3) Quince Cashmere Tee. An elevated basic you’ll wear on repeat. Runs TTS ( I took a small)
4) Schutz neutral ballet flats. Classic, comfortable, and endlessly versatile.
5) Everlane oversized button-down. Crisp yet relaxed. Works half-tucked into a pair of jeans or layered over a swim suit or under a sweater. Runs TTS.
6) J. Crew Rollneck sweater. Collar and sleeve details are so lovely. Works with jeans or a pair of leggings. I sized down 1 to an XS.
7) Quince Mongolian Cashmere sweater. $50 and feels so luxe. I sized up to a Medium.
8) Grey Beyond Yoga leggings. Ridiculously soft and great for everyday. Sized up 1 to a medium for a little more room.
9) Gap everyday neutral knit. 100% Cotton. Feels cozy, looks luxe and can’t beat the price. In a small (my true size)
10) Offline by Aerie oversized grey sweatshirt. For morning walks, school drop off and errands in town. Super soft and goes with everything. Wearing my true size (small)

Bonus! Could resist adding two more I wear on repeat!

11) Amazon studs. I wear these almost every single day. $19! Simple, classic and an instant outfit boost.

12) Ralph Lauren baseball hat. For bad hair days, casual errands and a cool off-duty vibe.

This time two years ago, I set the goal for myself to get out of my gym clothes and start the day by getting dressed again. When I started, I was completely overwhelmed by the new denim silhouettes, new styles/ trends, figuring out how to dress for my new body, and finding clothes that fit my daily lifestyle. As a mom-both on and off duty.

🌀When I started to share my journey, I felt like I was the only one who let myself slip into doing life in leggings, and honestly, I was mortified sharing my reality here. I felt like everyone else around me had their sh*t together, so I was blown away (and so encouraged!!) hearing from all of you that are in a similar chapter of life ❤️🫶🏻

〰️ My goal is to share in a way that’s meant to encourage and inspire you, one step/day at a time. And above all, I hope to give us all grace to do it imperfectly. Because some days we don’t have the time, energy or opportunity to think about what we are putting on 😉

2026 Ins and Outs ❤️ I was genuinely shocked so many of you asked to see my ins and outs for 2026, but also grateful because it forced me to truly reflect on the past year and the year ahead. It’s also fun to come up with!

THE GREAT. Cashmere Crewneck. I lived in this all winter break and it’s next level good. What makes this sweater stand out and justify the price is the fit. It’s the perfect oversized, so well constructed and crafted like a warm hug. I linked a lower price point alt if this is out of your range but if you’re in the market I promise you won’t be disappointed • Uniqlo crew neck tee shirt. Love it so much. One of my new favorite white tees I’ll be wearing on repeat in 2026. The high collar and the slightly longer tee help it peak out of my sweaters in all the right places for an instant cool factor • AGOLDE 90’s. My favorite pair of denim by far and one you’ll see my wear multiple times per week • Loeffler Randall ballet flats are an instant classic with a modern twist bow detail. Love these so much.
