Growing up, my dad used to say, “life’s not a fashion show!” — usually while hustling me and my sisters out the door. He wanted us to focus on school, sports, and working hard. But I’ve always loved clothes. Even though I didn’t have a lot, I felt the difference when I wore something I loved — it changed my mood. I’ve realized now — my dad was right. It’s not about a fashion show. It’s about showing up for myself. Choosing an outfit, putting it on, and instantly feeling a shift. More focus. More confidence. More energy — even if I’m not leaving the house.

Getting dressed has become one of the simplest ways I care for myself. Some days it’s subtle — a gentle reminder to be present. Other days, it completely turns things around.
