Hot flashes 🔥 & night sweats 🥵 gone? Great! ... But are your bones, brain, heart & metabolism protected or still suffering in silence? One of the BIGGEST mistakes is working with a provider who prescribes hormone therapy based on symptoms only and doesn’t follow up with regular blood work 🚫No 6-8 week blood draws to check levels 🚫no monitoring 🚫 no adjusting dosages or modalities when things aren’t optimal It takes only a tiny bit of estrogen to relieve night sweats & hot flashes. The amount to achieve this is often nowhere near enough to support your bone density , brain health cardiovascular system or metabolic function. You need estrogen levels in the 50-100 range to do this. Do you know your estradiol level? Progesterone? Testosterone? Do you have a baseline you can track. When I started hormone therapy my estrogen was <5. On .25 estradiol patch it came up to 15. I felt SO much better so we bumped .50 and my level got up to 44 - felt amazing but having spotting and nowhere near therapeutic level so we switched modalities and changed to a gel over the patch. I am how at 168 on the .5 estrogen gel. Which shows I wasn’t absorbing the patch. My testosterone was similarly in the toilet 🚽. On T gel I am at 115 which is a bit high so we’re halfing the dose. You need progesterone on HRT to protect the uterus. Find a doctor who will test and work with you to fine tune your hormones I can’t begin to tell you how many women are still operating at post menopausal levels- they have no idea since their hot flashes and night sweats are gone You deserve more than a bandaid. You deserve to feel optimized & amazing! Want to learn how to do HRT the right way and level up in midlife I’ve got you!
