I was looking for a pot to put our new olive tree in and everything I liked was looking at $900+ but I had better things to spend my money on 😉 so I found a pot left in our barn and decided to try making it look as close as possible. Here’s the steps & tips to make your own! 1. Find the pot! Facebook marketplace & yardsales are a great way to find old pots that you can add a glow up to! Luckily the last homeowners left this pot and I liked the wine detail for our French Country theme home 2. Add Texture! Our pot already had built in texture but if yours doesn’t you can add in baking soda to your paint to give it a textured antique/terracotta feel 3. Layers of paint 🎨 using lots of different colors and layers gives your pot that same antique terracotta feel. I started with a deeper color then added in white to it and layered again and then I went in with 3 colors of browns and added even more layers. When in Doubt step back take a look and add another tap of another color to get the exact look and feel you want! I hope these 3 tips help you to DIY your own pot and save that $900 for something fun! 😉 Everything I used for this is linked in my @shop.ltk If you have any more questions ask them here for other people to see incase they have the same question!
