I’ve been getting a lot of questions lately from other folks in social media on how to rise above the haters. Here’s my answer. Realize that their hate says way more about them, than it does about you. When I’m struggling to understand why someone would want to drag me down, I remember that it takes a small person with small thoughts, and small dreams to be threatened by someone else’s success and happiness. Not to mention a lot more time to waste than I do. Surround yourself with those who celebrate you. And receive their wisdom and critique with grace, not insecurity. For those who aren’t investing in you, let the negative comments roll off of you and don’t give them the satisfaction of engaging in their drama. Then you’ll truly rise above. . .
