Same art. Same pillows. Same lamp. Two cities. I packed up my New York apartment recently. I shipped home some of my favorite things to put in my Nashville apartment. The pillows were my first purchase from the HomeGoods on the Upper West Side in October 2023 on a Sunday afternoon after church. So I brought them home to Nashville- I’ll never forget how important they were in making me feel at home. The prints from Amazon of the four cities I’ve called home- Atlanta, Nashville, Edinburgh, New York City. They fit perfectly on a wall that I’ve never found the right piece for in the 7 years I’ve owned this condo. But they are right, like they were always meant to be there. They were. (The first pic is Nashville with the grey couch, the second pic is New York with the brown chair.) The lamp- I did not ship home. Just bought it again from Amazon. 😂 I’m home in Nashville again, no longer a dual citizen between two cities. The time was right- for my heart, for my church life, for my relationships, for my co-workers, for my bank account. 😂 Will I ever live in New York again? I don’t know. Is my New York life done? I don’t know. I so deeply love that city and my friends there and my church there. I’ll be back. When? I don’t know. It’s been two of the best years of my life, living between these cities. And now, I’m integrating those lives- bringing my wall art and life lessons and throw pillows and hopes into one life, one city, one undivided heart. A bigger heart. A stronger heart. A heart forever changed by New York City. 🤎 LTKSeasonal LTKHome LTKNYFW
