Thayers toners are a staple for me in my oily skin regimen. There are several Thayers toners to choose from, and I've used several of them over the last few years. The one I've been loving right now is the Lavender toner.

It gently hydrates my skin after washing. I haven't noticed any type of scent, so if there is one, it's not strong at all, which is nice. I can use this toner at night after removing my makeup or in the morning to help wake me up.

When my relaxed hair is feeling dry on my wash day, I will sometimes do what is called a pre-shampoo treatment or a pre-poo. Doing this hair treatment will add some moisture back to my hair before shampooing. To create the treatment, I mix together the Aussie 3 Minute Miracle Moist Deep Conditioner with a little Jamaican Black Castor Oil. My hair feels soft and hydrated after the treatment, and even more so after my hair has been washed and deep conditioned.

While I don't co-wash my relaxed hair anymore, it is a good way to refresh or wash hair between shampoo days and give the hair some extra boost of moisture. Two co-washes I would use if I were still doing this are the Camille Rose Sweet Ginger

Cleansing Rinse or the TGIN Quench 3-in-1 Co-wash Conditioner And Detangler.

Co-washes are really soft cleansers that gently cleanse the hair, but they don't always wash away all of the buildup, which is why they are good for a mid-week wash.

I got turned onto Jamaican Black Castor Oil a few years ago. I've bounced between the two brands, Mango & Lime and Sunny Isle. I haven't noticed any difference in them other than I think that Mango & Lime has a wider range of options.

I like to use this oil mainly on my scalp and mixed into a conditioner for a pre-shampoo treatment.

When I deep condition my relaxed hair, I like to use some heating element that helps to open my hair cuticles more and allow the deep conditioner to really penetrate my hair strands. I sometimes use my hair steamer and could use my hooded dryer. The problem is that both need to be plugged into an outlet, so I'm stuck in one place. With this microwavable heating cap, there is no cord, so I can do whatever I want.
