The NYX The Face Glue Gripping Primer is all about helping your makeup grip and stay put.

It has a tacky finish without feeling overly sticky and is also hydrating. I liked that it helped my makeup stay in place without making my oily skin look or feel oilier.

It doesn’t blur pores or give a matte finish, so I’d pair it with makeup products that provide the finish you want.

The NYX Blurscreen SPF 30 Primer caught my attention because it combines two steps in one: primer and SPF.

I liked that it helped blur my pores and gave my makeup something to grip onto. But with my oily skin, it ended up making me look a little shinier than I wanted, even with matte foundation and powder.

My makeup also didn’t seem to last as long as it normally does with my matte primer.

I did use the whole thing, but I ended up reaching for it more often when I wasn’t wearing makeup.
