“You can’t paint tile!!!!” 😡😠😤 Well that’s a least what many people told me. I decided to paint my tiles anyways back in early 2023 with the help @rustoleum and their floor paint kit and @cuttingedgestencils with a custom floor tile stencil. Not going to lie, this entire floor from start to finish (not including dry time) took me probably 40 hours!! With all the details I wanted to add like the distressing over the darker paint with a sponge and white paint to give it an aged patina and the edges I had to clean up post stencil. It was a long process but it was a labor of love and I’m so happy I did it! Even almost 1 year later this floor paint has held up! No imperfections or peeling has occurred. I think that speaks volumes of the primer I used as well that is specifically made to repel moisture. And following the instructions on the paint kit I used. Dry time and cure time should be followed for best results. I took my master bathroom from early 2000s Tuscan to a modern farmhouse beauty for less than $500. It feels much more calming and serene in this space. These after clips don’t even include the new vanity fixtures I installed myself after this. I will post that install soon!
