🤷🏼‍♀️ Don’t have a pet? Congrats! You get a free choice day. Look over the past month and see what tickles your organizational fancy. 🎉

⭐️ Today we’re decluttering items that your pet or YOU no longer love, need or use.

Places I would check out!

🧸 - Toy collection: Is it overflowing? Are there items in there your furry pal NEVER chooses to play with/are falling apart or simply annoying af? Warning: much like children, it’s sometimes best to do this while your pet isn’t watching you. You don’t need that kind of guilt trip in your life.

🦮 - Clothing: Sweaters, booties, and bandanas - oh my! Again, is your pet overwhelmed with choices? Are some of those sweaters making you say, “woof!” ? Help them do a quick closet edit. We want them to strut in confidence.

🐕‍🦺 - Collars/leashes: Again, remove any that aren’t “giving”. Maybe it’s even time to order some fresh replacements!

🦴 - Treats - Are there things in there that are expired/stale or just “yuck”? Is there treats that your pet doesn’t even like?

🤓 Work is hard enough, let’s make sure that you’re in an environment that not only leads to productivity, but makes you feel good.

📦 Gather anything in a basket that doesn’t belong. Paper, dishes, magazines, old mail, old notes, bags — clear your workspace!

🪴 Leave only what belongs.A cute photo frame, maybe a plant, a spot for your coffee and maybe a notepad. I think a clear/minimal workspace is ideal — but do what works for you!

😴 Nightstand! Day 26 of the #aullorganizedchallenge

👀 Take a few moments today to look at that table next to your bed. Does it help create feelings of calm, rest and relaxation? Or is it a catchall of every book, magazine, candy wrapper and lip balm you’ve used for the past few years?

🍫 Not to brag, but I love to cram Reeses wrappers in the back of my drawer while I binge watch trash tv. Because when they’re out of sight I can convince myself eating 75% of a miniatures family size bag didn’t happen. Follow for more health and fitness tips. 💡

☝🏻 ANYWAY! Take a look at your bedside table and see what you can do to CREATE THE CALM we all need these days 🧘🏻‍♀️

- Empty the drawers/surface
- Re-home items that no longer belong
- Throw away the trash
- Only put items back that you NEED, USE and LOVE.

Everyone is different. A few things I keep in mine:

* Books (not a whole shelf’s worth. 4 tops!)
* Kindle
* Kindle charger
* Lip balm
* Eye mask
* Blue light glasses
* Book light
* Daily meds/vitamins

🔝 Start at the top of your pantry and work your way down.

Remove anything that is

• expired
• not getting eaten
• that gives you the heebie-jeebies

👀 Take a look at the items you don’t want:

• Good and unopened? donate! 📦
• Are they expired and gross? 🗑️

🙌🏼That’s it! That’s the decluttering challenge for today.

💪🏼 However….if you’re really feeling motivated and want to organize here’s how I start every project:

1. Empty the entire thing
2. Categories (pasta/chips/sauces/cereals/bars/treats etc)
3. Put it back together!

☕️ Cups! Day 22 of the #aullorganizedchallenge

Today we are just getting rid of the mucupsgs that:

• we do not USE
• we do not LOVE

I can’t tell you how many homes I’ve been in where the cabinets can barely close because they’re STUFFED full of cups.

We don’t love the cluttered cabinet. Take some time to give the ones you love room to shine.

If the cup isn’t used and/or loved — ✌🏻.

If it’s in great condition, put it in a box and start a donation pile (you can add to the 📦 over the month). If it’s gross/broken - toss it. 🚮

Not a big cup collector? Focus on your cup/wine glass or revisit your waterbottle situation.

1. Have a trash can and/or donation box nearby.

2. Empty the ENTIRE utensil drawer.

3. Categories!

• What gets used?
• What's broken?
• How many duplicates are you keeping?
• Do you really need 3 whisks? 4 peelers?
• Keep your favorites and donate the rest.

⭐️Remember! This drawer is prime real estate. Use it for utensils used regularly.

4. Utensils you want, but aren't used regularly can be placed in a separate container. I keep mine in a medium sized plastic bin. Put it in your pantry, or in a cabinet.

🥔 Twice a year when you need that potato ricer, you know where to find it. 😉

3. Questions to ask yourself!

• What gets used?
• What’s broken?
• How many duplicates are you keeping?
• Do you really need 3 skillets? 4 huge pots?
• Keep your favorites and donate the rest.

⭐️Remember! Your kitchen is prime real estate. Use it for what gets USED regularly.

4. Pots and pans you want, but aren’t used regularly can be placed up high on a shelf or cabinet, or even storage. Once or twice a year when you need that giant chili pot to feed the neighborhood, you know where to find it. 😉

▪️lots of crumbs? Vacuum them - so much faster then pushing those crumbs around with a paper towel 1,000 times.
▪️now go wipe down those surfaces
▪️line drawers with paper towels to quickly absorb spills and leaky bags

🗃 Junk Drawer! Day 18 of the #aullorganizedchallenge

If you’re new to organization, or simply want to do a project in 20 minutes or less the Junk Drawer is the space for you.

☝🏻But first, let’s give this drawer the respect if deserves - and rebrand it with The Essential Drawer. 💥

• Step 1 - Take everything out. All. Of. It.

• Step 2 - Make your categories! - batteries, chargers, pens, random toys, hair brushes, scissors. Take stock of what you have. 🕵🏼‍♀️

• Step 3 - get rid of whatever is unused or broken. 🗑

• Step 4 - divide the space with drawer dividers/organizers.

Try your best to cover the ENTIRE drawer’s surface. This keeps tiny objects from being lost and containers from slip sliding away. 🤸‍♀️

🖤Put back only what is USED & LOVED. Not used? Bye! Not loved? Bye bye 👋🏻.

🎁 Gift Wrap! Day 17 of the #aullorganizedchallenge

1. Grab a trash can and head to your giftware collection.

2. Get rid of anything that you KNOW you’re not going to use:
- crumpled up paper
- tiny shred of wrapping paper that aren’t worth saving
- tangled ribbon
- broken tape dispensers
- gift sacks you know you’re not going to use
- anything you don’t LOVE, NEED & USE

That’s it! You decluttering your gift wrap. DONE!

BLANKETS

🧺 BLANKETS! Day 16 of the #aullorganizedchallenge.

🤨 Might seem silly to dedicate an entire day to decluttering blankets, but they are some of the biggest space hoggers in our homes.

🙋🏻‍♀️As a perpetually cold and proud homebody, I LOVE blankets. What’s better than sitting down with a book or binge watching your favorite show with your favorite snacks and blankets? Not much.

However, WE 👏🏼 HAVE 👏🏼 TOO 👏🏼 MANY. 👏🏼

By now you know the drill. It’s time to keep only the blankets we

• USE
• NEED
• LOVE

✌🏻 If the blanket hasn’t been used in the past year - bye bye.

✌🏻If you consistently skip over one blanket in favor of another — bye.

😒 If it smells gross, looks gross, doesn’t match your decor or brings up unpleasant feelings — byeeee.

🌎 Just like our towels, please do not throw these away. Textiles are some of the biggest contributors to our landfills. There are so many options for your blankets!

For blankets that are still in good condition, consider donating to:

- homeless shelter
- halfway houses
- women’s shelter
- Goggle your city + blanket donation — you’ll find plenty of organizations that would be thrilled with your donation.

🐶 For blankets that may not be in the BEST condition, but still usable I highly recommend donating these to:

- Animal shelters
- Boarding facilities
- Doggie Daycares
- Vets
- Groomers

🚗 Car! Day 8️⃣ of the #aullorganizedchallenge

1. Got 15 minutes? Grab the trash bag!

2. Open all the doors and the trunk! Turn on the car and pump some 🎶 to keep you motivated. If the car is on make sure the garage is open, too. - we don’t need anyone passing out while organizing. 😉

3. 🗑 Throw away all the trash you can find. - don’t forget the trunk, glove compartment and center console.

4. Make a pile of things that need to go back inside. 👉🏼 Cups/Toys/Bags/Clothes etc.

5. Leave an 🌂 , ice scraper, reusable totes, blanket —the ESSENTIALS.

👜 Purse! Day 14 of the #aullorganizedchallenge

1. Grab your purse and dump the whole thing out. 💥

2. Separate everything into categories. 🗂

3. If you have small items to contain (makeup, masks, toiletries, mints, kid snacks, etc.) think about containing them into smaller pouches. Use what you have! Plastic baggies work in a pinch. 👛

4. Put back only what is USED and necessary. Wallet. Keys. Sunglasses. Lip Balm. 🕶

5. These pouches make switching purses a breeze. Just grab the ones you need! ✨

6. Throw away the trash, put back items you no longer need and pat yourself on the back. You did it! 🙌🏼

🔍 Today we’re only focusing on removing shoes that aren’t being worn.

Remove shoes that:

• Don’t FIT
• Don’t get WORN
• You don’t truly LOVE

👠 For the shoes you don’t want, ask yourself this:

• Are they in good condition? DONATE! 📦

• Are they falling apart? TRASH! 🚮

💪🏼 Still motivated? Awesome. Here’s a few ideas for storage.

• Individual shoe boxes (great to protect your investment and allow you to stack)

• Shoe racks
• Large totes: great to group out of season shoes, snow boots etc.
• Take advantage of any open shelving
