Mix and Match - Purse Edition!

Breanna and I love a good GNO. We went for elevated chic this night out, sticking to neutrals and black.

Breanna opted for a brown and white outfit, pairing it with a black coach purse.

I went for my Aritzia dress, boots, and leather jacket. I paired it with my favorite espresso martini purse 🍸

Navy is the new black? I think so! This is my go to errands outfit.

I start with my favorite comfy bralette from target of course. Under I usually sport a white old navy short sleeve for extra warmth. On top I have on my classic lands end navy sweater.
For bottoms, these are the aerie flare leggings (AKA yoga pants - if you know, you know).

I have my Ugg slipper dupes on to compete this look!

Chilly Tailgate OOTD feat. Maya! It was FREEZING this day, and we both wanted to be cozy and layer up just in case we went to an outdoor bar. I layered up with my mom’s vintage Ralph Lauren crewneck sweater, my classic Abercrombie jeans, and a fun hat. Maya went for a jersey and crew neck, and comfy cozy leather pants. I unfortunately left my earmuffs at work, so I sported a hat while Maya got to be extra cozy chic.
Solo Disneyland fit!

I was lucky enough to get off of work at 2pm when at a tradeshow in Anaheim. Since I stayed at Disney friendly hotel, I decided to take full advantage of my stay. Luckily, I packed an outfit just for this occasion!

I sported my Tokyo Disney tee, and layered it with a workout tank under just in case I got too hot. I matched the blues and wore my J.Crew skort, and of course my comfiest shoes: my new balances.

I used my Uniqlo bag since it was just me and I wanted to make sure I had enough space for the afternoon.

Overall, 10/10 trip!

Of course, I had to match the sign! Going to Kiki’s I wanted to wear a fun and flirty pink dress. This one is a staple- I wear it everywhere! I leaned into the pink theme and matched my mom’s vintage gap purse and some pink heels. I kept cool on the patio and felt hot 😉

Miami clubs with Breanna? Say less! For night two of her bachelorette, sparkles were a must. We both went for dresses from Oh Polly that had ultimate shine under the club lights. We’re both wearing mediums, and heels from target. We accessorized bewitch sparkly fun jewelry to top off our looks.

Fall Date Night calls for mixed leather and bell bottom jeans.

I don’t know about you, but after Kendrick’s half time performance last year, I had to get a pair of flair jeans.

I styled them with a long sleeve black top that is perfect for the bars, and my favorite thrifted leather jacket.

Tyler went the same route, but instead of a little black top he opted for a tan sweater.

We both went for boots this night. Tyler lives in his red wing boots, and I wore mine from Madewell.

I topped the otherwise basic look off with my Staud Otis bag, and a fancy vintage belt from my mom’s collection! A belt and fun purse can truly change your whole look.

Travel Wear ✈️

When I travel to visit friends, comfort and re-wearability are top priority. This trip was going to be chilly, so I opted for a cute and comfy sweatsuit.

I lounged in the sweatpants throughout the trip, rewore the sweatshirt with Jeans, and use my belt bag for hot girl walks.

Being comfy doesn’t mean being out of style🤍

DIY Parrot costume!! After many hours of sewing and working with jewelry wire, I successfully pulled off the best costume ever.

I started with some amazing basic feather boas, a headband, and feather packs. I sewed and got glued feathers onto the headband, and used 16 gauge jewelry wire to make the tail. The get the tail on me, I made a belt of 14 gauge wire and tied it around my waist with twist tie.

The wings were luckily easy to buy pre-made, so I can’t take credit for those!

For the dress, I bought something that already had a pattern on the front. The back came blank, so I hand made and sewed each tulle and feather decal onto the dress.

I paired it with my black sheertex because the parrots have black legs, and some boots to keep feet warm!
Breanna wanted her Maid of Honor to stand out at her wedding, but still match the bridesmaids vibes! I was lucky to be given loose reigns on choosing what to wear. Of course, I enlisted my mom’s help. Breanna wanted floral, so that was our launching point. After about 10 dresses, we found her. This beautiful Eliza J floor length gown, embellished in delicate floral decals, and the EXACT color of the girls. I felt beautiful and comfortable in this gown, and it even had DEEP pockets. I carried the brides valuables all day long in style.

For our first day in Miami, Breanna and I wanted to look casual but chic. I opted for my oversized BDG Jean skirt, and folded down the top for a more lowkey and beach look. I topped it off with my free people intimates top, platform black slides, and staple Tory sunnies.

#LTKFindsUnder50 #LTKShoeCrush #LTKTravel
For night one of Breanna’s Bach, we went for a dinner and drinks night instead of a club. We decided Versace Mansion was the perfect upscale dinner date for the bridal party. I opted for a black dress with velvet rose details, black strappy heels, and my beaded purple bag. I wanted the pink for a pop of color, of course!

#LTKFindsUnder50 #LTKTravel #LTKItBag
At Breanna’s stunning rehearsal, I wanted to wear something colorful and summery. I went for this purple dress that has some fun fabric details for the casual chic night. I paired the dress with my classic gold Nina’s and gold jewelry. I was getting showered in compliments!

Tyler wore an almost all J.Crew outfit. He made the perfect photographer for the wedding weekend kick off.

#LTKFindsUnder100 #LTKWedding #LTKTravel
For my friend Miranda’s beautiful black tie wedding, I was scrambling for a formal dress. After her invite got lost in the mail, I was weeks late to the dress search. Macys absolutely SAVED the day! I was able to buy this beautiful dress by XSCAPE on sale. I paired it with gold jewelry and shoes for a chic look.

#LTKHoliday #LTKWedding
On our free day in NYC while Hannah and Scott were working, we took a trip to Guggenheim! It was a hot hot hot day, so I went for a cool and casual look. I started with my Ugg sandals. I paired them with a chic old navy tank, my Abercrombie shorts, and of course my Tory Burch bag. I was cool but comfortable all day.

#LTKSaleAlert #LTKTravel
New phone check! Anyone else have the new iPhone 17? I’m so happy I went with the sage green. I wanted something that would be a fun pop of color in my daily life.

For my first case, I went classic with an Amazon $10 staple that had great reviews. I added some fun gel stickers and a HOT pink Octobuddy for a new pop of color and freshness.

Here I am sporting my new phone out at the bar for MSU vs. U of M. In classic fashion, MSU lost. I went for a cozy Alumni QZ, Abercrombie Jeans, a white tank, and my staple jewelry on this chill night out.

Day two in Tokyo, I was feeling much more alive. This was another steamy day, so I opted for a black jersey shift dress. I paired it with my New Balance’s and ankle socks, along with my long champ butter yellow bag. It was great for holding everything I needed! I paired my black Tory Burch sunnies to lean into the all black look, and packed a button just in case it got cold.

#LTKWorkwear #LTKTravel
Sleepy after my work trip, I got myself together to explore Akasaka with Tyler on day 1 of our trip. It was chilly but humid, so I threw on an old navy tee and button down for some layering in case it got colder. This plaid maxi skirt from aerie was another staple this trip. Light and airy while still being fashionable. I topped it off with a tan purse and new balances to complete the comfy look.

#LTKTravel
While visiting our friends in NYC for a weekend, we decided to be bold and pack carryon only. When I pack carry on, I like to lean on my favorite pieces. Here I’m wearing my vintage lands end sweater, jeans, and staple jewelry. Tyler is wearing his favorite hat from touring coors in 2023, his mopop (rip) sweter, and comfy khakis. By wearing elevated basics, we snagged an impossible to get resy at Laser Wolf an hour after this picture.

For our longest day out in Kyoto, staying comfy and cool were my top priorities. I went for this red dress with DEEP pockets to stay covered and cool. I paired this with a white button down for when the night time got chilly, my new balances, and TB sunnies. We walked about 30,000 steps this day and I was comfortable, so I would say mission success.

#LTKTravel #LTKStyleTip
Walking through Kyoto was steamy this day. We were lucky to get some late spring hot weather! Showing your legs isn’t common in Japan, so I always lean into the maxi skirt trend. Here I’m wearing a free people maxi skirt I’ve had since college (I linked some simpler versions here) with my classic old navy tank top that I have in 12 colors. This pink was a refreshing pop of color that looked great against the green scenery of the Kyoto. I matched pinks and wore my Onitsuka Tigers, and of course my Tory Burch sunnies that have been a staple since I bought them.
For this night on the town in Tokyo, I layered my staple “I don’t know what to wear” flowy top over a black maxi dress. This dress is versatile, because the top is mimicking a ribbed cotton tank while the bottom is elevated with chiffon. I paired this with my Uniqlo purse, and pink Onitsuka Tigers. While out and about that night, I bought my navy tigers because I loved my pink ones so much!

I have officially entered the wedding era of my late 20’s. The best part about it? The dresses!

This wedding was formal, so I opted for a classy cocktail dress. I leaned into the bow theme and dressed up the look with my classic bow heels I’ve had since high school (thank you, mom). Another great option is to go for a more casual long dress, like my friend Lauren! She went all in for the orange and gold trend, and she looked fabulous. Bonus points for us matching the flowers, too.

I’ve been channeling my inner Pink Pilates Princess lately during my workouts. My new studio in Royal Oak was made for the girls, and I like to wear outfits that match the vibe! Here I’m in my FAVORITE workout top I have ever bought- linked below from free people. It’s super supportive with no added padding, and that’s the best. I also have on my classic lululemon aligns, and Amazon Pilates socks (because who needs the $40 ones!?)!

#LTKFindsUnder100 #LTKActive #LTKFindsUnder50
When the weather got chilly in Tokyo, I leaned into layered monochrome pieces. Monochrome is all the rage in Japan, and I wanted to fit in as much as possible while still showing my personal style.

For this look, I started with my basic cream old navy tee, then added a cream crew neck. My favorite buy of the trip were these flowy khakis which gave a chic look to any outfit. I linked a similar pair from lululemon below. I also love my Onitsuka Tigers - they go with everything and are comfortable. You can’t beat that. I also love (and still use) my Uniqlo bag daily. It’s so small but so big, adjustable, and looks cute with everything. When in doubt - go monochrome!

#LTKStyleTip #LTKTravel
Since today is sunny, I decided to bring the light into the office and wear a bright sweater. I layered it with a plain white tee (old navy, of course), and finally am wearing my lululemon khaki work pants. Yes - they do live up to the hype. I topped it off with my tan work mules to complete this bright look.

#LTKSeasonal #LTKWorkwear
Sunset style in Kyoto! This is a perfect spring or fall look to keep you cozy but stylish. In Japan, work pants are the IT item. Here, I’m wearing my favorite J.Crew work pants that feel just like cozy sweats. I paired them with a short sleeve navy tee, and of course my big three sweatshirt that I live in. Along with my Uniqlo bags and Onitsuka Tigers, I was ready to take on the town.

#LTKTravel #LTKStyleTip #LTKItBag
Rainy Day in Tokyo outfit! A cozy but chic sweatshirt paired with a long skirt makes the perfect breezy but chic outfit that works for spring and fall. My new balances were a savior this trip, being the ultimate combo of cute and comfy. The Uniqlo signature purse was my ultimate travel hack - it fit everything!

#LTKTravel #LTKSeasonal
Fall browns with sequins are the perfect combo for chilly fall concerts. Being at Red Rocks, I knew layering would be the key to stay warm during a chilly October night! I started with a cropped turtleneck, a short sleeve, then a thick hoodie to tie it alll together. You would never know I wore leggings under my sparkly pants, either!
